This apartment has it all. Located on the western end of Mijas in the Mirador de Mijas apartments, it is only a few meters from shops and restaurants and has panoramic views from all the rooms. All rooms open out to the long (26 m2) sun balcony with uninterrupted views of the sea and mountains situated in this very well maintained complex with a large pool only steps away. Fully equipped with smart tv, dvd player, wifi, airconditioning/heat. There is communal parking available.

Very well equipped clean apartment with stunning views

A very spacious and comfortable apartment right on the edge of Mijas Pueblo with a beautiful big veranda with amazing views down to the distant sea and sparkling lights of resort of Fuengirola far below.

Furniture and beds are comfortable and the area very quiet. Good air conditioning which also works as heating on cooler nights.

It is a quite pleasant but rather strenuous, 15 to 20 minute stroll through narrow and pretty streets, to the main square where cafes and bars are, up and down many steps and slopes as the whole picturesque village is built into the mountain side.

There is one small bar close by, which has restricted opening hours, and a small local corner shop, but the nicer restaurants and cafes are all in the main pretty central area where the donkey rides and horse drawn taxis are located.

The apartment has many useful ouches like tons of storage, well equipped kitchen and little extras like lots of coat hooks, plenty of waste bins etc which are often missing from self catering accommodation.

There is a Samsung tv with youtube and some films which was useful as although there is a dvd player it is not connected and has never been used, as there are no instructions and no dvds available, we could't use that.

The only slight snag was a lack of basic information e.g. precisely where things are located!

We trekked up and down 85 steep steps every day for the first 4 days, as this was the way we were brought in by taxi.

We were told there was a lift but not where it is or how to find it (Go out of apartment and down one flight of steps, turn right and walk past the garages to the last flight of about 10 steps up to a lift which takes you all the way to street level)

Also where to put the rubbish, we were told there are bins on the main road but not where they are.

As you leave the apartment its a right hand turn to the main town so we carried our rubbish all the way down there, before discovering if you turn left instead and uphill for just 50 metres or so (which you cannot see for parked cars, so wouldn't discover by accident as its not a road you'd walk up), that is where the rubbish bins and recycling are located but frustratingly we were not told this and only found it by accident.

A guest book for comments and sharing useful information like this would have made a great difference to us.

The village of Mijas is already famous for its narrow streets, immaculate white houses, blue flower pots and warm people (it recently applied to be part of the Unesco World Heritage). It is safe and family friendly with cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes. It is also close to the airport, trains and public transport and with easy access to many world renowned places such as: the Alhambra of Granada and Ronda all within a 2-3 hour drive. If you prefer to relax on the balcony or by the pool this is also a perfect location.
