Enjoy a peaceful outlook from a spacious Edwardian end-terrace house yet close to Brixham harbour, the restaurants and beach. Perfect for families with the green on your doorstep, an enclosed garden and lots of beaches and attractions nearby.
A GREAT POSITION
Looking out over Furzeham Green, the house has open views, not overlooked, with the sea over to the left. The road is leads to a dead end so there is no through traffic, and stepping out the front door on a sunny morning is a true delight. The green is home to a bowls club, tennis court and children's play park, as well as an expanse of grass which is perfect for a picnic or to play on.
To the left the green falls away to sea views over Brixham's outer harbour. Walk across the green for some lovely sea views, again great places to sit and enjoy the coastal outlook.
A SHORT WALK INTO BRIXHAM
Despite the peace and 'away from it all' feel, the town centre is only a five minute walk away down the hill. Here you will find all the shops, restaurants, pubs and take aways, as well as cash machines, chemists, post office etc. It's a great place to spend a day with the 'Balamory' picture postcard harbour flanked by colourful cottages, a wide range of restaurants selling fish landed at Brixham fishing port.
From here, walk around to the marina, Breakwater beach and the outdoor pool. Or from the house walk down to the outer harbour and turn left into Battery Gardens where you will discover Chruston and Fishcombe coves and some stunning walks.
Inside, there is plenty of space for parties of up to eight. The living room looks out over the green with a sofa, cuddle chair Samsung 37" smart LED TV with catch-up programs and a Playstation 3.
At the rear of the house there is a lovely open plan area overlooking the garden. This is informally divided into a second living area, the dining room and kitchen. Here there is a second 32" Samsung smart TV, and a Sonos 1 speaker which plays music through your smartphone (App download required).
The dining room has a large solid table, 3 chairs, stools and bench for ample seating. Bi-fold doors open out on to the garden.
The kitchen is spacious and complete with integrated appliances and wood worktops. There is a built-in dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and separate freezer, and microwave. There is also a coffee machine, toaster and kettle, with plenty of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Patio doors lead out on to the back garden.
The garden is a peaceful haven flanked by stone walls, with a mix of patio and grass, with garden furniture.
There is a downstairs bedroom with a double bed, bedside cabinets and a combi wardrobe for clothes storage.
Upstairs are the three remaining bedrooms as well as the newly installed bathroom.
The master bedroom at the front overlooks the green and down to the sea, with a king sized bed, drawers and large sliding wardrobes, as well as a 26" wall-mounted TV.
NEW FOR 2016 - The master bedroom now has an en-suite shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin.
The adjacent bedroom has two single beds with bedside cabinets and a wardrobe/drawer combination. At the rear of the house, the last bedroom also has two single beds with storage and a garden view.
The newly fitted bathroom has a basin and roll-top bath with shower attachment, There is a separate, adjacent toilet.

Andy & Karyn purchased this house in 2012
The house has been completely renovated over the past 3 years to create lots of space and light. Our favourites are the outlook on the green and bi-fold and patio doors leading on to the back garden flanked by the original Devon stone walls.
Looking out over the green there are some lovely walks down to the edge of the outer harbour with panoramic sea views, with the harbour and town centre to one side, and woodland walks in the other, as well as the coastal path.
We are close enough to the town centre and harbour for convenience, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet and your own relaxing space away from the crowds.
The rear garden is a sun-trap haven, flanked by Devon stone walls and the perfect space to relax in.
Inside we have renovated throughout with stripped wooden floors, new kitchen and bathrooms and plenty of space for everyone.
There is unlimited superfast wi-fi throughout the house with 2 smart TV's for catch-up programs and a Playstation 3.
The kitchen is light with patio doors opening out on to the garden and features integrated appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine.
New for 2016 - we have added an en-suite to the master bedroom, consisting of a shower, wash basin and w.c.
The space inside and tranquility of the area, yet it is a short walk down to the harbour and then to the marina and the beach. There are also some lovely coastal walks to hidden coves.
Beautiful large house, tastefully decorated and everything provided you could possibly need. Quite a long garden , which our whippet Wilf adored, that is safely enclosed. The huge greens that are directly outside the house are also dog friendly, great for ball throwing!! and makes up for no sandy stretch of beach in Brixham itself. ( Goodrington sands is closest, but only 10 mins in car) lots of little pebble coves in town though.
House was spotless, with towels etc provided, even a tea/coffee/milk basket and shortbread biccies...very welcome !
Only 5 mins walk down to town, but be aware, the walk back up is not for anyone with mobility problems..it is steep.
Thank you very much to the owners Andy & Karen, we had a great time.
Regards Lynda & David
Great location. Well equipped with everything thought of in kitchen.
As other visitors have commented, property needs another toilet/shower. Let down by minor things such as radiators not working/ working properly in front sitting room and front bedroom. Front bedroom door does not close. Mattresses in back bedroom need updating as not of same quality as others in property. I am vertically challenged so could not get into bath as it is too high as is washbasin.
Dear Andy and Karyn,
We can't thank you enough for such a wonderful and fabulous stay over New Year. A beautiful house that is very clean. The rooms were spacious and the both bathrooms were helpful with 7 people.
We will certainly be back!
Thank you again
Hayley and co.
We arrived on the 24th December for our 5 day stay over the Christmas period and were instantly made to feel at home with a Christmas tree in the lounge and home made mince pies! The house is beautifully decorated with all the mod cons - perfect for a family get together. Location is great too and as it's on a no through road is also very peaceful. Can highly recommend a stay here and will definitely be coming back. Andy (the owner) was extremely helpful, always prompt in any queries we had and the little personal touches made our stay even more enjoyable.
Wonderful house, clean spacious and comfortable. We had a fantastic week. Walking distance to town, maybe 10 minutes or so, although there are a lot of stairs to get there. Great park for the kids just across the road. Battery Gardens is walkable too for a great day out with the dogs. Most of all we loved the views. Beautiful area of Devon didn't want to leave.
The property was almost perfect for our family. Lots of space, well later out with all the comforts of home. The dogs settled in really well and our grand-daughter loved the long run down the hall into the lounge. Great garden space and well layed out kitchen. Bedrooms all spacious and comfortable.
Only slight downside was the one bathroom and one toilet. For our large family it took some good coordination, but we managed.
Thank you for helping us to have a lovely holiday.
John and Marilyn.
