About the property

The floors are wide and thick fire-plank floors in the living rooms and rooms. Heated Ø-land tiled floors in the living room, kitchen and bathroom / toilet.

The ceiling is wide and thick lumber boards, which are above the old bearing beams, in the full width of the house.

The partition walls, of sun-dried clay stones, are plastered and white-painted so they appear like the original whitewashed walls.

The old interior doors are painted in neutral colors. Some still have the old / original hinges and door handle!

The windows are 2-sided, with 16 linoleum-stained glass panels and linked frames! They appear as the original ones, though with a significantly better heat / sound insulating effect.

Inventory: Washing machine, Drying rack, TV with built-in DVD, Hot air oven with grill and pyrolysis (Cleaning), Microwave, 4 Hotplates with induction, Coffe Maker, Electric Kettle, Range Hood, Dishwasher, Fridge, Cookware Cutlery and Service for 8 people, Vacuum cleaner.

Living room: corner skirt for cleaning items and double wardrobe. Electric closet.

Bedroom (4 pers.): 2 bunk beds.

Bath / WC: Washing machine.

Living room (2 pers.): TV, 2 armchairs and sofa bed with chaise lounge.

Peaceful setting a 5 minute drive from the seaside town of Henna

I was expecting poor accommodation because of the cheap price, and so was very happy that the accommodation was way better than expected.

The kitchen and the bathroom are both modern. There are two bedrooms a dining room and a lounge, so plenty of space. The kitchen is well equipped.

Stanley and family live next door but you never see anyone so you seem to have the whole farm all to yourselves, but if you do come across Stanley he is extremely pleasant to speak to. There are no other guests on the farm as there is only the one unit which they let. I found the bedroom pillows with their man-made fillings terribly uncomfortable and suggested to Stanley that he replace them with good cotton pillows. He was very grateful for the suggestion.

All main beach resorts and towns are a maximum 30 minute's drive away with most a good deal nearer. The beaches in the summer for miles around are like the Caribbean (without palm trees!), absolutely amazing.

So, thanks Stanley and family for the peaceful, affordable accommodation.

BEDØMMELSE AF HENNEGAARDS NYE FERIEBOLIG

Hennegaards feriebolig er nyindrettet i den tidligere aftægtsbolig i det lange, fredede stuehus fra 1831. Ferieboligen omfatter en forstue, to stuer, soveværelse, værelse, køkken og badeværelse. Fyldingsdøre, ølandsflisegulve, bræddegulve og bræddelofter med synlige bjælker viser, at man befinder sig i et historisk hus, men køkken og badeværelse er naturligvis forsynet med moderne inventar. Kulturhistorisk interesserede gæster kan desuden glæde sig over, at der er adgang til en middelalderlig kælder under huset, og at kælderen samt de nu tørre voldgrave, der omslutter haven, iflg. Nationalmuseet er dele af Ribe-biskoppens befæstede borg. D.v.s., at der på Hennegaard er rester fra den tidligste fase af gårdens knap 900-årige historie.

Der er læ i den store, gamle have, og man kan grille aftensmaden i vestsolen midt på gårdspladsen mellem de fredede bygninger – og hvis man i stedet vil ”spise ude”, kan man nøjes med at gå ca. 700 meter til et af Danmarks bedste spisesteder, Henne Kirkeby Kro. Her befinder man sig desuden i et bygningsmiljø af høj kvalitet, hvori den middelalderlige Henne Kirke indgår. Henne Kirke har bevaret et righoldigt inventar fra før reformationen, og fra den efterfølgende tid, hvor kirken ejedes af Hennegaard, stammer både et herskabspulpitur og altertavlestaffering.

Naturinteresserede gæster har masser af tilbud omkring Hennegaard. Den nordlige del af den nyretablerede Fiil Sø med et rigt fugleliv ligger i gå-afstand fra Hennegaard. Mod vest er der mindre end 4 km til Vesterhavet, mod sydvest er der store, bevoksede klitarealer med bl.a. hede og med egekrat, hvis synlige træer, udgøres af toppen af for længst tilsandede, store egetræer. Og mod nord ligger Blåbjerg plantage, fra hvis højeste punkt man kan overskue området. Mellem Hennegaard og Blåbjerg plantage er der desuden golfbane.

In the Middle Ages Henne Gaard Ribe bishop fortified the local politician which parts of the cellars and moat still exists and the center of a very large estate, consisting of farms.

After the Reformation, Henne Gaard a manor house and was still such an extent that the owner in 1639 could create another manor Søviggaard on the opposite side of Filsø.

When changing the end of the 1700s was the main farm's acreage modest, but the number of the corresponding farm men about 100- the fourth largest number in Ribe. And after the replacement was Henne Gaard been reduced to a large farmhouse just as other county manors.

Henne farm burned in 1831 and was in line with this change in status rebuilt with a large farmhouse facing a three-winged farm.

O. 1900 sold off the farm's huge dunes to a Copenhagen consortium started cottage parcelling. Henne Langgaards current business is dairy farm with 135 dairy cows.

The building protected Henne farm is adjacent to the local plan secured cultural and trattorias. a. include Henne Church and Henne Kirkeby Kro and the former school - the latter two were built in the 1800s, traditional, typical local building traditions.

From Henne Gaard's views south to the big Filsø, now made even greater for the enjoyment of nature enthusiasts and ornithologists who flock to the place.

Blåbjerg plantation to the north is a different, but equally attractive natural area and a few kilometers to the west is the North Sea.
