Amazing location, view and privacy!
My family and I (4 mature adults) just returned from a four night stay at this property. We were very pleased with the privacy from other homes, with the private beach and gorgeous view. One thing you may want to know is that this location is on the windy side of the island. The night we arrived the wind was blowing so hard we couldn't sit outside. The next morning it was calm and beautiful! Other nights we appreciated the breeze because other areas of the resort were stifling hot! It is a short five minute walk to the pool and Bistro Cafe. The pool is lovely, the massages amazing, the Bistro delicious with doors wide open to the ocean. The staff is attentive and gracious. We enjoyed the resort, it is first class in every way.
The only negative comments are; the owner does not take care of maintaining the furnishings in the home. The sofa was filthy! We didn't even want to sit on it. The drapes are torn; we had to go into town to buy clips to keep them closed at night.
There are only ceiling fans above the master bed and in the living room. The bedrooms upstairs are very hot! Even the air conditioner had a hard time cooling the spaces. Their were no screens on the bedroom, or living room sliding doors so we could not leave the doors open for fear of mosquitoes in the night. There are no soaps, shampoos, coffee, coffee filters or anything you may expect. If you don't have a car you have to take a shuttle to a 7/11. Supplies to buy are very limited so you have to eat every meal out which can be expensive. Even in Thailand! There is only one other cafe within walking distance unless you are up to a hike to dinner.
I do not believe this is a good choice for a family with children. There are four bedrooms; each with a private entrance. A child, or children will be in a room that is isolated from parents. It would be great for a family with teenagers or with four couples traveling together. In our case, our 91 year old mother was left alone in the master bedroom/living room because she can't deal with stairs. To that point she had to crawl down the front steps to leave the space because there is no hand rail! The door to the space would not stay open (no way to secure it) so she couldn't even open the door with the wind for fear of damaging the glass! This would be the case with a small child as well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The management team did a great job; the home was very clean except for the sofas.
The villa and complex was lovely we had two small children with us and it was excellent for them. I totally agree with all the reviews it was beautiful and relaxing
Perfect house and resort
We liked the villa very much. The layout was very good for us and the location was perfect right on the beach and no neighbours close. Some days it was a bit windy on our side so it was very good that the pool and the other beach on the other side was close and calm. The common pool was fantastic and the food and massages very good. Friendly staff. Some problem with weak wi-fi in the villa. + for free shuttle to village. Liked Koh Chang very much.
Amazing location on the beach
We had a fantastic stay in the beach front villa. The house was perfect for a get away break. We have young children and they could play all day without having to take them anywhere.
The quality of accommodation was excellent and we would certainly go again.
This is the first place I have seen in Thailand where it is possible to snorkel from the beach, early morning the water is clearest and 100m from the beach is a lovely reef, fantastic!!
More than expected
Amzing stay with family. Highly recommended for families with young children
Location of the house is just right. The Half moon bay is exccelent escape for kids, as entire Siam Royal Wiev resort is probably the best spot on Koh Chang.
Owners are more than fair and provide you with information as it is.
Recommend to stay there at least few days to experience real peace of mind
Dear Samo, Thank you so much for your review.
We do hope to see you again at our nice property .
Paradise still exists!!
Been to koh Chang a few times but my first time to stay in a holiday villa.
This beach house provided plenty of space for the eight of us-4 bed and bathrooms-and it is situated right on a lovely sandy beach.
This was just the antidote we needed after visiting Pattaya.Beautiful national park scenery where rain forest meets the warm ocean.
Just behind the house is a large swimming pool with clubhouse where food and drinks are served at normale prices.
Honestly this is the top choice for your tropical holiday!
Thanks a lot and be sure we will be back.
Thank you to take your time to review our property.
Seems you liked it a lot as well as the environment .
It is indeed a piece of paradise and a perfect place to chill.
It was a pleasure to have you as our guest and we are looking forward to your next visit as you refer.
The island of Koh Chang is a tropical marine national park. Its hinterland consists of over 70% virgin rainforest and is the best preserved tourist holiday destination in Thailand. Situated to the east of the country in the province of Trat on the Cambodian border, it's Thailand's second largest island after Phuket. With its chain of white sandy coves and beaches, pristine rain forests and abundance of wildlife and marine life, coral reefs, high mountain peaks, several scenic waterfalls, a rich variety of cuisine and great nightlife, Ko Chang is one of Thailand's most sought-after holiday destinations. If you drive, you can hire motorbikes, jeeps and cars to take you to any of the beaches along the coastal roads and, in the evening, there are plenty of restaurants, live music bars and nightclubs to choose from to spice up your holiday.
Other Activities: Golf Course,Elephant Trekking, Jungle Trekking, Kayaking, BB Gun, Parasailing
Golf: Open from November 2011 a 9 Hole Golf Course on Siam Royal View Resort.
The developers of Siam Royal View housing project have now completed construction of the island’s only golf course of any description. Of course it isn’t a full links course, but is a more relaxing 9 holes of pitch and putt. The course is built in the centre of the development and surrounded by water. This not only cools the air but also adds to the challenge as a couple of greens are only accessible by bridge. The signature hole, Hole 3 has the tee and pin on two separate islands linked by a footbridge. One big plus is that if you do shank your drive / pitch then the water in the surrounding lagoon is safe for swimming and also pretty shallow, so you can just jump in and retrieve it – thus saving yourself the 20 baht lost ball fee.
The course has been designed to meet stringent regulations laid down by FIPPA, the governing body for pitch & putt courses worldwide. What this means in effect is that the course could be used for competitions or even be used as a host course on the Asian Pitch & Putt Tour ( Yes, there is one.)
