This is a fantastic property in a perfect spot. Can't rate this place enough. Flawless. This caters so well for larger parties with its roomy social and dining spaces yet cosy aspects such as lovely squashy sofas and log burners. The games room is impressive and the bonus of the hot tub is beyond expectations. Property was spotless throughout. Owner was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. The quality of the local pubs and walking and attractions are again beyond the expected. Just wonderful . I would recommend this to family, friends and colleagues. This is one of the very best places we have stayed and we are pretty frequent and eclectic and discerning travellers.
Impressive house that ticks every box! Plenty of space for everyone to socialise together or have peace if required. Layout between the kitchen and dining room, with a fabulously large table allows for communal cooking and eating. Wood burners fire up quickly and add to the cosy charm. All the rooms are light and spacious and tastefully decorated with three lovely bathrooms. Hot tub perfectly located close to the back door & a joy to sit in to admire the view or the stars. Games room just the icing on the cake for adults and children alike. The owners are welcoming and provide all the advice you will need for a memorable stay. Their tip of The Black Swan for dinner was spot on - great local food that is truly impressive. The farmhouse's location alone will make it hard to leave!

The tranquil village of Newbiggin-on-Lune lies at the foot of the Howgill Fells, quietly sitting between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. It is a delightful rural village with a thriving local community and many traditional old dwellings. Hill farming is the principal means of income in the area and an agricultural show is still held once a year on the fells, echoing the markets and shows of days gone by. The local river, the Lune for which the village was named, is very popular for trout fishing. Nearby Ravenstonedale, once described by Wainwright as one of Westmorland’s loveliest villages, boasts three pubs, all serving fine ales and modern cuisine. The area offers many walking and cycling routes, both on and off road, whilst the nearby attractions provide something for everybody. Visit the Settle to Carlisle Railway Line, the magnificent Howgill Fells and the stunning Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. A superb location at any time of the year.
