About TRENT M CLARK

Greetings to our guests and we welcome you to our Las Sendas home! We grew up in Michigan and came to Arizona - where I have ALWAYS wanted to live from the time I visited in 1994 - when I signed a contract with a professional baseball team. We had three sons while living here and have hosted numerous family and friends over the years. Our home is large enough for many people to feel comfortable and uncrowded with big open spaces and vaulted ceilings, yet the fireplace and architecture can provide a comforting atmosphere.

TRENT M CLARK purchased this house in 1999

Why TRENT M CLARK chose Mesa

We chose Las Sendas because it was just a beautiful and fantastic place that provided resort-style living year around. We hope that you will come and see all that Las Sendas has to offer and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this Mountainous Arizona Community!

What makes this house unique

This community is a JD Power award winner and offers many recreational amenities, including a USA ‘top 50 to play’ Golf Course, two resort-style pool areas that are restricted to the community only and offer heated pools, hot tubs, kid pools, verandas, lounge chairs, lap swimming and more. Additionally, there are parks, tennis and basketball courts and hiking/jogging paths throughout. All recreational facilities are for your use as guests in our home. The home is within a mile from the 202 highway which can take you to anywhere in the greater Phoenix area and makes it easy to head out for fabulous golf courses, casino's, shopping, sightseeing, events and the lakes.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This home in Mesa is a gem! It is very spacious, well-stocked, and comfortable. We were very pleased that our 3 grown children and their spouses could each have queen size beds, and that we could have a king. There was also a great kids' room with twin beds for our 3-yr-old grandson, complete with a custom-painted mural and great toys. It is an incredible value, and we would love to go again.

loved it!

  • 4 of 5

We visited Trent and Kerri's property in Feb., 2016. The home is beautiful and in a very beautiful area. There were no problems getting in, and Trent immediately checked in with us to make sure everything was OK. We loved the warm and sunny view from the kitchen windows every morning; and everyone had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the vacation. We would love to come again and recommend this property with two thumbs up!

Very nice Mesa home

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice home located in a very nice gated community in Mesa. If you want the full pool/resort in your back yard...then this isn't the place for you, but if you are looking for a very nice and well kept home at a very reasonable price...then this is your ticket. I will certainly keep this home in mind for any future trips to Phoenix. The home was accurately advertised, easy to check into, and the security deposit was returned in a timely manner.

I would recommend this 5 bedroom house in the Las Sendas Community of Mesa.

  • 4 of 5

Our family of ten spent our winter holiday in the gated community of Las Sendas in this 5 bedroom home. This is the second time that we have stayed there so we knew what to expect as far as amenities. It was clean and the description is very accurate although some updating is probably in order. It is an excellent choice for a family with children since there are parks and pools/hot tubs within walking distance (the heated pool is a long walk). I especially appreciated the excellent response time and service the owners provided. We had a few minor glitzes (couldn't find the remotes, couldn't light the fireplace) and Trent responded quickly even though it occurred during a holiday weekend. He immediately facilitated the solutions to all of our minor problems and went way beyond my expectations when he facilitated the delivery of a package we wrongly delivered to the house. If you want to stay at a house where your needs are not ignored--this is a good choice for you.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here while in town for a wedding. We had six adults, an infant, and a toddler. The house was perfect for us. I love that they had toys outside for the toddler, and a high chair and pack and play for our infant.

The house was clean and had plenty of toiletries, towels, toilet paper, etc. I've stayed at other places where they give you the bare minimum, which can be really inconvenient.

The location is great. It's close to grocery stores and several restaurants. The community itself is quiet and beautifully taken care of.

Coordinating and talking with Trent and Kerri was really easy and pleasant as well. One family in our group lost their car keys and the cleaning lady was very nice about searching the house for them!

I would recommend this place and would stay here again!

worry wart owner with a decent home

  • 3 of 5

My grandmother who lived in Mesa had recently passed, and my family and I needed to rent a home that was in the area for about 6 of us. Upon selecting the house via Homeaway and requesting specific dates, the owner Trent provided prompt customer service, but it was immediately apparent that he was a worry-wart, a control freak and likely hadn't rented his house before.

The house was fairly priced and I ended up booking 3 nights. Then Homeaway prompted me to either buy an add-on renters insurance policy OR put down a really large deposit on top of the rental price. I typically avoid add-on insurance policies by nature, and opted to just put down the overly large deposit, which I charged to my credit card, on top of the 3 nights rental price and cleaning fee. I had to make 2 separate transactions via the Homeaway site, which was really cumbersome.

The owner didn't like that I had done that. He really wanted me to opt-in for the insurance, and called me to urge me to re-consider. When I declined, he then switched up the deposit amount, refunding my initial deposit, and lowering the overall deposit amount. What he didn't realize is that I had already paid the money, and he was forcing me to re-pay for the deposit, etc. Of course, it didn't go smoothly, as the owner canceled my payment the first and second time, so in the end I had to put my credit card info into Homeaway 3 different times before it was accepted. It was a real pain in the ass.

After all of that work, the owner called me to explain that now that I've pre-paid, I needed to sign a 6 page rental agreement and have it notarized before the rental is confirmed. He said that the notary was his way of confirming who the renter really is, which is BS. It just confirms the identity of who signs the agreement, not who shows up. Anyway I digress. Of course the rental agreement was NOT electronic, so you had to give the owner your email address, open the email, open the attachment, print the attachment, take it to a bank or local UPS store to have it notarized, have them scan the document, and send back the scanned notarized document. Since I don't have a printer/scanner at home, this added another ten bucks in costs.

the house was fine. big home with lots of rooms. no pool at the house, instead it is a few blocks away. Also the home was up for sale with a big for-sale sign out front.

Owner's Response: There was some confusion at the beginning regarding a change HomeAway had made on delivering a decline of our insurance benefit. The confusion could have been avoided. It is sad that a guest would judge me with critical information that is CLEARLY disputed given our history at the home. Ownership since 1999 & rented since 2005 with 27 positive reviews & over 15 rental visitors per year. I own other rentals that are 5 star rated & all with over 30 reviews. After 16 years, we HAD the home listed for sale to test the market, but have since had it removed from MLS. I have NEVER had anyone choose to forego the insurance as it has been a great way to reduce having to hold hefty deposits that cover deductibles for accidents or other issues. The confusion was why the guest was quoted a higher than expected price, initially. Viewing a mobile app, it was unclear to me at that time the guest had declined insurance. We worked diligently to take care of the guests’ needs given the sensitivity & short lead-time. While the guest’s cc may have been charged errantly, it is unlikely, as it is protocol for HomeAway to alert me of all charges & I have to approve. If the cc was charged, it was deleted the same day. I simply looked to remedy & rectify any false or errant charges. I delayed the final charge 3 days to assure the guest had no erroneous charges. I didn't urge the guest to reconsider insurance, but explained why our deposit would be larger-then I REDUCED it to ease his burden given the situation. The mishap could have been avoided if I had simply approved the original transaction & allowed the guest to pay over 25% more than he ended up having to. I felt it considerate & kind. The guest felt otherwise. The embellishments are unwarranted. The rental agreement is 2 pages plus a signature page-also online. Unfortunately, we have had bad experiences over 10 years in this business & we require a notary public to verify the signature & verbiage requiring THAT person to be on site. The guest suggested an e-signature app & software program. Very nice & while valuable & likely efficient, I would have to raise rates for hard costs. Plus, many elderly guests would be confused & not welcome the technology just yet. The avg rental agreement at our large home reserves 95 days, or more, in advance. This guest booked 10 days prior to arrival & was upset that he had to print & scan something. I didn't think we asked too much.

Great for golfers

  • 5 of 5

6 of us stayed here and the description is exactly as described. Very clean and distinguishable. Road access to the 202 loop is quite easy and restaurants are quite close. We liked this because each one of us had our own separate bed, and that was the most important thing to us re; snoring. Totally safe and quiet. Beats staying in quad occupancy/hotel deals as it keeps everyone together. Although we chose not to cook this time, we easily could have grilled in the spacious back yard and the lemon tree was bountiful. Owners were quite helpful and accommodating. Had everything we needed for after golf - wi-fi and TV
