Renovated (2014/2015)mid terraced property situated in the small harbour town of Amble within walking distance of a sandy beach and the regenerated new pier and delightful marina, set on the banks of the River Coquet in the beautiful unspoilt Northumberland Countryside. Boats trips are available from Amble harbour for either fishing trips or to cruise around Coquet Island, a RSPB bird reserve home to a large colony of seabirds, including one of the rarest nesting Roseate Terns and thousands of puffins who occupy the main part of the Island. There are several nature reserves nearby including Hauxley and Druridge Bay, where you will also find one of the most impressive stretches of beach three miles south of Amble. The picturesque village of Warkworth lies in the loop of the River Coquet and is dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle. The bustling town of Alnwick, with its famous castle and gardens is within easy reach, as is the rest of Northumberland's stunning heritage coastline. Sailing, canoeing, sea and fresh water angling, golf, walking and cycling available locally.

Services - Electricity and gas CH included. Flat screen TV with Freeview. DVD. CD radio. Electric oven and hob. Microwave. Fridge/freezer. Washing machine. Roadside parking. Shops/PO/pubs/restaurants/TIC in Amble. Duvets with linen and towels. Dogs welcome with well behaved owners - £15 per dog. No smoking in cottage please.

WiFi is NOT provided. Coverage is available to buy direct from BT WiFi, and is free to existing BT Broadband customers.

My name is Michael Arries and my partner is Deanne Brown we've been together a wee while now, we, bought Cuddy Cottage in 2014, it was a total wreck and a very sad old house, and dating back over 120yrs.

Now with a litle tlc and a hefty budget we've brought this old fella back to life, everyone has commented on how happy this house looks now.

We enjoyed a lovely three day break in Amble and we were so lucky with the weather. Cuddy Cottage is just perfect, modern and well equipped with comfy beds, everything you could possibly need. Ideally situated for local amenities, walks and beach with easy access to public transport for visiting surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Christmas in Cuddy Cottage!

We stayed in Cuddy Cottage for a week from the 22nd December so it was lovely to find that the cottage had been decorated for Christmas and treats of wine and chocolate left for us. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. Amble is a friendly town with plenty of places to eat and drink. We were especially pleased to find most of them welcomed the dogs. We particularly enjoyed a meal at The Shack on the harbour. Mike and Deanne have created a lovely home from home. They are very helpful hosts and we would certainly recommend Cuddy Cottage.

Ideal for a northern break

Cuddy Cottage was ideal. Inside it was clean and fresh, and well located for the coastal towns and villages. Parking was always available on the road right outside the door. Would recommend to anyone.

Cosy, inviting, clean

We had a delightful stay and found the cottage perfect for us.

Great location to visit Northumberland, well presented cottage.

Nice little bottle of fizz for our anniversary left for us very thoughtful.

Played golf at Alnmouth Foxton Hall excellent day out.

Couple of nice restaurants within easy walking distance.( Fat Mermaid and Old Boat House) . A really pleasant stay.
