Recently renovated (2014/2015)mid terraced property situated in the small harbour town of Amble within walking distance of a sandy beach and the regenerated new pier and delightful marina, set on the banks of the River Coquet in the beautiful unspoilt Northumberland Countryside. Boats trips are available from Amble harbour for either fishing trips or to cruise around Coquet Island, a RSPB bird reserve home to a large colony of seabirds, including one of the rarest nesting Roseate Terns and thousands of puffins who occupy the main part of the Island. There are several nature reserves nearby including Hauxley and Druridge Bay, where you will also find one of the most impressive stretches of beach three miles south of Amble. The picturesque village of Warkworth lies in the loop of the River Coquet and is dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle. The bustling town of Alnwick, with its famous castle and gardens is within easy reach, as is the rest of Northumberland's stunning heritage coastline. Sailing, canoeing, sea and fresh water angling, golf, walking and cycling available locally.

Services - Electricity and gas CH included. Flat screen TV with Freeview. DVD. CD radio. Electric oven and hob. Microwave. Fridge/freezer. Washing machine. Roadside parking. Shops/PO/pubs/restaurants/TIC in Amble. Duvets with linen and towels. Dogs welcome with well behaved owners - £15 per dog. No smoking in cottage please.

My name is Michael Arries and my partner is Deanne Brown we've been together a wee while now, we, bought Cuddy Cottage in 2014, it was a total wreck and a very sad old house, and dating back over 120yrs.

Now with a litle tlc and a hefty budget we've brought this old fella back to life, everyone has commented on how happy this house looks now.

We had a lovely stay at Cuddy Cottage the location was perfect.

Our stay was fine. However not having wifi was for us a big negative. Location for us was perfect. Walking everywhere, couldn't be better.

The attempted intimidation by a neighbour who blocked the back lane thus preventing us from parking our car outside the back gate was annoying. For us the sofas were too small and uncomfortable for lounging and watching tv. Small thing.

Overall we were happy with Cuddy Cottage. Small mishap by us was taken care of by owners without any drama and I thank them for that.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage with our friends. It is comfortable, clean and an ideal location for visiting the area of Northumberland. Tastefully renovated and appointed, surprisingly spacious. This property is first on our list if and when we visit the area again.

Great base for some Northumberland adventures

This little cottage was a perfect choice

amble is a small fishing village with some lovely little restaurants , we tried soil and sea , spurelli ice cream parlour is great

The cottage was spotlessly clean and we were left some little gifts by the owners

Lovely to stay in a holiday home that is really cared for by its owners !

Clean, well equipped with a great location.

The property was easy to find, very modern and clean with all the equipment you need. It is a short walk to the town, beach, harbour and estuary with its beautiful views. There are lovely dog walks and everyone is so very friendly. Michael and Deanne communicated well and resolved any hiccups immediately. I would recommend it and would love to return.
