Our warm and contemporary log cabins have been a true labour of love. Designed by us specifically to suit families, couples and groups of friends, our three log cabins have a modern Scandinavian feel with open plan living areas incorporating a comfortable seating area, dining table and well-equipped kitchen. The toasty log burner ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere as you walk in the door and the generous bedrooms have super-comfy beds to help you get a fantastic night sleep after a long day exploring the nearby beaches and coastline. Professionally laundered bedding provides that extra touch of luxury and wifi is free of charge and reliable through the property so you won't miss anything while you're away!

A short 5 minute drive will take you to the sandy beaches of the North Cornwall coastline, however there's no need to go anywhere to experience beautiful views of the stunning Cornish countryside. The log cabin is situated in a gated courtyard with outdoor seating, BBQs and fabulous views to enjoy. A small area of field is also available for outdoor games so you won't be lost for things to do if you fancy spending a day close to home!

If you like to eat in, the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, electric hob and dishwasher so there's no need to argue over who's doing the washing up! For those treat nights where you want to eat out, there is an abundance of local restaurants including great pub food, Chinese, Indian, Italian and many seafood eateries taking advantage of our proximity to the Atlantic ocean. Local takeaways include fish and chips, pizza and Chinese. Local supermarkets within 5 minutes include Co-Op and Spar, with Morrisons and Lidl just 10 minutes away.

Local beaches, surfing, golf course, tennis, mini golf, horse-riding and fishing will help you to create lots of memories to take home with you and there is a fantastic choice of activities for kids such as soft play for the younger ones and even a nearby theme park for the kids to look forward to! Tamar Lakes is approximately 1 mile away and offers water sports and enjoyable walks. For a more laid back holiday, meandering along the South West coast path or visiting beautiful country houses and National Trust sites at any time of the year will provide a truly relaxing break.

When you're ready to put your feet up, our generous sofas will help you wind down and either take advantage of the TV and DVD player or play a good old fashioned board game!

Parking is free on site, just let us know if you plan to bring more than one car.

Bed linen, towels and cleaning are all provided at no extra charge.

About Hannah Davey

Both Jonathan and myself left high-pressured, busy jobs and decided to move 250 miles south to Cornwall to purchase our dream home in 2012. Much to our surprise, our dream home turned out to be a rather ramshackle farmhouse with some old, dilapidated barns in the courtyard!

Renovation of the farmhouse has been a six year project, however it has been home right from the start. Having lived here for a year, we finally received permission to design and build three modern yet cosy log cabins to replace the dilapidated barns, and we began to create a family-run business which has now been welcoming guests for the past four years to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and explore our dramatic coastline.

Hannah Davey purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Hannah Davey chose Kilkhampton

We fell in love with Eddington Lodge as we were creating it on paper, and watching our dream become a reality through a huge amount of hard work has been a great privilege. We have been fortunate to create bespoke holiday log cabins, decorated in a contemporary Scandinavian style with every detail planned around modern family living.

Beautiful Bude is particularly unique as it is both easily accessible from the rest of the UK and enjoys a relaxed, bustling but not over-busy atmosphere. The beaches are sandy and the coastline provides endless entertainment, whether it's surfing or sandcastles that take your fancy. A canal meaders it's way into the town and provides a haven for wildlife including many birds.

What makes this cabin unique

Pop on your thermals and step outside on a clear night and we will take you over to our observation pods with fantastic telescopes in them! Gaze through the lens to view some incredible sights in the night sky, from planets to galaxies or even just the moon! Provided free of charge, this will really make your holiday one to remember.

The property was clean, comfortable, nicely designed and well-equipped. We particularly loved the view across the fields at the back and watching the cows and their calves walking past the window. The owners were most welcoming and accommodating so it would be hard to fault them or the property in any way. We were only sorry that due to the cloudy weather we were unable to take up the owners' kind invitation to stargaze with them and their impressive-looking telescope. Maybe next time!

Loved the location and views. Was very comfortable living. The only suggestion we would have is to

  • 4 of 5

Have some external lighting both in the court yard and round the gate area. Was very dark in the evening when we came back and had to use our phones to shed some light as various obstacles on the way to our cabin. Also we did think that a 10 am departure from the cabin was a little too early as most places we have stayed departure time has been round 11. Would certainly recommend to friends if they were heading off down there.

Comfortable, airy lodge

  • 5 of 5

Very nice lodge on the North Cornwall / Devon border.

We received a warm welcome from the owner who showed us around, and he then left us to enjoy the free cream tea. The lodge is in a group of three and each have their own outside space with picnic table. Inside, the lodges were well equipped and nicely furnished, the bed and pillows extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern.

We enjoyed getting the log burner going in the evening, but there are efficient electric heaters instead or to top up .

The lodge was within half an hour of many local places/attractions - Boscastle, Tintagel, Bude, Dartington Glass, Clovelly.

We very much enjoyed our weekend away and would stay here again.

A very relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this property and it was a very relaxing stay!!! The owners John & Hannah were there to greet is on arrival and were both very welcoming!! Furthermore, we had a very tasty cream tea waiting for us in our cabin!! The cabin was very clean and comfortable throughout. The kitchen had all the essentials needed and we had access to an outdoor BBQ with all the necessary equipment needed!! The cabin is ideally located as Sandymouth beach is a very short drive away and well worth a visit!! Widemouth bay is a little further on, but is also well worth a visit!!

Very nice - great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this cottage for 3 nights during our summer visit to the UK. We found the cottage very clean and well equipped. We were welcomed by the owners with a Cream Tea basket that was wonderful. The area is beautiful and peaceful, with lot's to see and do. We would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a very nice place to stay in Cornwall. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and our stay. If ever in the area again, we would stay here again.

There's plenty to do locally with numerous beaches to explore, the South West coast path to meander along and nearby Tamar Lakes with it's watersports and fishing opportunities. In Bude choose from mini-golf, an indoor children's play centre, tennis, swimming and a variety of festivals and events throughout the year. The town also boasts a challenging 18-hole golf course.

A little further afield are numerous National Trust sites such as Llanhydrock House, and the popular Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are not too far away.

The Camel Trail provides a great experience for cyclists and bike hire is available for everyone.
