We were impressed with the pictures online of this property and the reality did not disappoint. It is a lovely apartment and so close to the centre of activity in the old town. We would never chose to stay in a holiday resort, and always prefer to stay in the heart of a community. This was the case here. It was very clean and well-equipped and the owner was most helpful. Water, fruit and wine were there to welcome us. We spent time exploring the old town and visiting Symi, Camiros and Lindos. It is close to public transport for these excursions. The Bazaar supermarket was good for everyday things, but another supermarket at the marina is well worth a look. There are two other larger supermakets slightly farther away, but with walking distance: Spanos is the largest but Pappou on Kanada street is good too. Because of allergy problems, eating out all the time does not suit. Unless we were away for the day, we came back to the apartment to have a late lunch on the terrace, and to have a break before heading out again. We ate out two evenings, and can recommend restaurants Vasilis and Nimmos. We avoided the ones on the main streets that solicit custom aggressively. We enjoyed strolling through the bazaar-like streets in the late evening after dinner. We were there from 28 September- 5 October. Weather was just right for us - constant sunshine but not too hot.
