In the thirteenth century, the Castle became the property of the powerful Beaulieu family whose name it bears.
Many owners succeeded until 1729, when it was bought by our family.
The Château de Beaulieu as you now see, has undergone significant changes since its origin in the Middle Ages.
Surrounded by 9 acres of parkland and gardens, this chateau has has 9 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 5 toilets, a library, 2 living rooms, 1 dining room, an office and an old kitchen.
I am forever grateful that Fabienne allowed us to rent this special chateau for our wedding and residence while in France. It was beautiful, romantic, and the perfect setting for our dream wedding.
I thoroughly enjoyed the history behind de Beaulieu, and believe it to be very well kept. Fabianne was the most gracious host, and we were very thankful for the fresh flowers-- and the most delicious meal she provided upon our arrival. I'm hesitant to openly thank her for the meal (as I do not think that someone renting should expect a meal) but I just have to say it was the best we had in France... and we paid a lot of money at a very fancy restaurant in Paris for our reception meal.
I wish that this review would allow me to post photos, however, I can confirm that the photos of the property do represent it in reality. You will not be disappointed in château de Beaulieu.
I hope to return some day, thanks for everything.
