The lounge patio doors open onto a balcony overlooking beautiful views across to the sea. The balcony also has a table and chairs for alfresco dining. The ground floor courtyard garden provides seating and a BBQ area.

The central location of this villa and its close proximity to the beach makes it the perfect location for a beach holiday and somewhere to 'get away from it all'. With plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, an evening out can be enjoyed without having to worry about the journey home. Equally, local grocery stores are close at hand for meals/barbeques at home and the villa is equipped with everything a family needs. The inviting balcony which looks out over Luz Bay and the pretty medieval Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz is a marvellous place to sit and enjoy the sunshine and watch the world go by, whilst the courtyard garden, surrounded by flowering bougainvillaea provides privacy to relax and enjoy a good book. The house boasts a marvellous clean cut modern refurbished kitchen with ample dining, as well as two new beautifully fitted bathrooms with showers and vanity units.

Very nice townhouse.

We are enjoyed few nice day in casa Margarita. Owners provide everything that you need to have amazing time on the beach. Owners leaving in the apartment very well organized binder with information about surrounding area.Very convinient parking lot.

Ref our stay at Casa Margarida

We liked the property very much. It supplied all our comforts and needs and was well positioned in Luz for the beach, shops & restaurants. The sea views were wonderful from the top floor. We enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return to this property if it was available to rent in the future. Erholsamer geht nicht

Traumhafte Lage, sehr gute Ausstattung. Gibt zwar immer ein wenig zu kritisieren, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Wohnzimmer im Dachgeschoss mit offener Küche und Balkon mit Meeresblick, Meeresrauschen inklusive. Herrlich, besser kann der Morgen nicht beginnen und der Abend zu Ende gehen.

Im 1.Obergechoss sind zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Bad. Aus dem einen Schlafzimmer hat man einen ähnlich schönen Böick wie im Dachgeschoss auf das Meer und die Kirche von Luz.

Im Erdgeschoss gibt es noch ein Schlafzimmer und ein Bad. Aus dem Schlafzimmer kommt man auf die Terasse, die abends zum Grillen sehr gut geeignet ist.

Vom Ferienhaus aus kommt man in fünf Minuten zum Strand. Wer die richtig sehenswerten Strände Camillo, Figueras, Tonel und so weiter sehen will, fährt maximal eine halbe Stunde mit dem Auto.

Einkaufen kann man fußläufig bei Spar oder Baptista. Was fehlt, oder wir haben ihn nicht gefunden, ist ein Fischer mit frischen Fisch. Wer frischen Fisch mag, sollte vormittags nach Lagos in die Markthalle fahren. Da gehen einem die Augen über.

Der zweite Aufenthalt an der Algarve war wohl einer unserer schönsten Urlaube, die wir je gemacht haben. Auch wegen der Unterkunft.

Wonderful place to relax

We (2adults + 2 kids, 4 years and 2 years) spent one week at this lovely apartment. It was very well furnished, especially for families with kids. It's just a 5min walk to an awesome beach where we spent most of our time. I would Love to come back to this place and can recommend it to anyone who likes to spend some relaxing time at Paria da luz!

One-week stay in Casa Margarida (Praia da Luz)

We are a family of four and we chose Casa Margarida for our vacations in Praia da Luz, Algarve. First of all, the house was perfectly located - 3 minutes from the beach! Secondly, it was very well furnished and had everything we could possibly need for our week there. Also, it is very comfortable and spacious - the three floors make it perfect for families, as the living room and kitchen are separated from the bedrooms. The small village of Praia da Luz also proved to be a good spot for holidays, as it has a lovely beach and also several cafes, supermarkets and restaurantes within walking distance.

We were very happy about our stay and we definitely recommend this property!

Why Karen Shiells/Manda McIsaac chose Luz

We love our ‘home from home’ in the charming village of Praia Da Luz in the sunny Western Algarve, close to the historic town of Lagos. The house is only a short walk from the beach and is situated in a central location close to bars, restaurants and local supermarket. There really is something for everyone here and once you reach the resort, (approximately an hour from Faro) no car is required as everything is within easy reach.

Praia da Luz is a popular resort in an attractive setting and has everything you are likely to need.

The nearby town of Lagos in the Barlavento region houses the remains of an Arab built castle with 15th century city walls and the old ‘fort’ still guards the entrance to the harbour. The Palm Tree lined main strip, Rua 25 de Abril, runs through the town to the picturesque boating Marina and various boat trips are available nearby. Lagos has a lively extensive pedestrianised shopping area with cobbled squares, street performers cafes and restaurants. There is also a excellent fish market. The shops are all open in the evenings and there is a lively night life in Lagos. Lagos is also home to a Zoo, ideal for young children, which houses smaller animals and has a pets corner.

For a fun family day out try Slide and Splash, a water park at Lagoa or there is Zoomarine at Guia, near Albufeira, which is about a forty minute drive away. Travelling out west towards Sagres, you will find more exposed beaches, popular with surfers as well as areas of historical interest relating back to the Neolithic period as well as Prince Henry the Navigator. On the most South-Westerly point, at Cape St Vincent there is a fortress and lighthouse dating back to the 16th century which is open to tourists.

A 20 minute ride inland takes you to the beautiful town of Monchique, a typical rural town with narrow cobbled streets, dotted with small houses. Monchique is the highest point in the Algarve standing at 902 metres and on a clear day, the views are stunning. At Caldas de Monchique there is a spa where you can sample the famous spa waters or indulge in some pampering or health treatments.
