Close to town, but secluded and much cooler!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay here. This is the first rental I have encountered that had a full, functional (and matching!) set of cookware, cutlery and glassware- so we were able to host dinners for our son with no problems. The owner is very easy to work with, and most importantly to me, very responsive to any calls I made. It was never more than 30 minutes before he got back in touch with me! The rental was clean and as presented in the listing. I loved the location- about 10 degrees cooler than town (although only 10 minutes away). The views of all the trees from the inside and deck really added to the experience- very calming. Yes, the drive to the property is a bit narrow, but this is Asheville after all- there are a lot of roads like that! We would stay there again for sure.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This was just what I was hoping for. The house isn't remote, but there is plenty of privacy with a nice view from the porch. It was very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and attractive, and the location is close enough to shopping and convenient to both downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The owner was helpful and easy to reach. I would certainly stay there again.

Great little cottage close to downtown Asheville

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time at this bungalow. Loved the location. Very close to everything downtown but still felt like we were in the mountains. It was very clean, and well stocked. It is close to other houses but still private. Parking is tight but not really a problem for 1 vehicle. Beds were comfortable. Overall a great weekend rental.

Delightful, restful retreat!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great long weekend in this house! We really liked the modern style and it was super clean. We all enjoyed the waterfall shower. Loved that the house is nestled in the trees, which make for a peaceful view. Neighbors would have to be working really creepily hard to see in. We drive a Prius and did fine in the driveway. It is less than 10min to downtown Asheville. There is plenty of public parking and the garages do first hour free. Garage for the Aloft hotel was $1/hr after the free one. Another tip: NC Arboretum is fabulous! Bonsai Garden is gorgeous and it is loaded with trails; all for $14/carload. Moose Cafe was a delicious breakfast on the way. Terrific service and yummy biscuits and bacon. Artists in River Arts District are really nice to talk to and hear their stories, and we only visited one building! Josh is very responsive and great to work with. Would definitely stay here again.
