About the property

A stunning villa ,5 minutes to shops and 25 mins to the adriatic coast.

A bright open plan living area, with a new modern built in kitchen, lots of interesting artworks, a sofa divan that converts to a double bed, and extra seating. There's a dining table and every window has incredible views. The bedroom with antique double bed and a Juliet balcony off it provides a relaxing room, with crisp white linen and 100% cotton towels.Lots of space for unpacking, the bathroom is en suite. Stairs lead up from the bedroom to a 360 degree panoramic view on the private roof terrace. Dine upstairs watching the stars and lounge in the sun if you want an all over tan!

In both living areas above and below is a sofa/divan which coverts to a double bed.

Modern, tiled, light and a walk in shower. Even that window has a great view.

We are located 40 minutes away from Passo Lanciano, a ski resort with lifts, instructors, lots of fun for winter breaks, The drive is beautiful and scenic, and there are excellent restaurants in the mountains. come home to relax in the (centrally heated villa) and admire the snow capped Maiella mountains. The views here are breathtaking and words don't do it justice (as we've been told by ALL our guests!)

For those using the main bedroom, there's a log fireplace, very romantic!

For those wishing to do day trips to castles, wine tasting and other outings such as lunch on yachts for summer, we can recommend a local person who can fulfill your requirements and really knows her stuff!

About Chris and Jo Verster

We are ex Capetonians who decided to leave the hustle and bustle of a busy city life and relocate to rural Italy. Chris was a project developer and Jo had art galleries for over 20 years.

We hope that our respective careers are reflected in the Villa which has been restored to the highest standards whilst still keeping an authentic feeling.

We bring a touch of South African style to Villa di Stelle.

Chris and Jo Verster purchased this villa in 2011

Why Chris and Jo Verster chose Casoli

This property was chosen for its spectacular views, privacy and easy access both to the mountains and the sea.

It is also just minutes from shops whilst being totally rural.

What makes this villa unique

Being one with nature whilst living in a very comfortable and arty space and views which really are unique.

Guestbook comments from the manager

i brought my family to stay in the villa for 9 days and rented both the upstairs part for my mum in law and my daughter 14 and the downstairs for my wife and I and my son 9. Loads of room and everyone can find a bit of privacy. The house is very well kept neat and tidy with all the amenities you could hope to need. We liked it especially because it had a well tuned piano and we are a musical bunch. The pool area is spectacular as it looks out over the whole valley in front of you for miles presenting you with a wish list of small picturesque Italian rural towns and villages on distant hills to visit during your stay. There is no shortage of places to Eat and Jo and Chris will point out all the local restaurants and markets to stock up. They do provide a welcome parcel of food to get you started. The joy of the area is that it is very rural and non touristy which is perfect if that's what you crave with the extra bonus of not paying touristy prices at restaurants etc. a full meal cost us €10 a head at our local eatery, although there won't be a huge choice it's all very well cooked as you would expect

30 minutes from the mountains and 30 minutes from the sea....perfect if you aren't sure where you want to go when you wake up or you could just laze about and Barbeque by the pool. Renting a car is a must as you won't get around otherwise. flights to local airport 50 mins away Pescara by Ryanair only sadly, or a drive through the center of Italy from Rome which I imagine would be extremely picturesque ...driving around there generally is very beautiful.

Definitely recommended for peace and quiet and not for any form of crazy nightlife.

Abruzzo is the road less travelled by Italian standards. It is largely undiscovered, yet has the largest national park in Europe, and the largest cave open to the public in Europe. Summer time is filled with festas in many close by villages. Food is very reaonably priced and the cuisine here is excellent. Wine too is very reasonable with many wineries to choose from or visit. There's something for everyone here, or just chilling at the poolside, makes this a real holiday (restful) vacation.

Spectacular views, luxurious and tasteful accomoda

  • 5 of 5

I had the great pleasure to stay at this exquisite villa in early June 2015. The villa is incredibly comfortable and tastefully furnished. The roof terrace and pool area offer incredibly lovely views across fields of olives and wheat to snow capped mountains and hill top villages. Truly idyllic! The weather was perfect, the twilight sublime and the ambience just delightful. This is the ideal place for a week or two restful break from the big urb. Jo and Chris are gracious and charming hosts. I highly recommend Villa de Stella. It does not get better than this.

Relaxing stay at Villa di Stelle

  • 5 of 5

The villa was beyond our expectations with its amazing panoramic views from the roof terrace. Its far enough to feel you’re on your own, and have some privacy, but also close enough to shops and the local town. The top flat we stayed in was spotless, is really nicely decorated and has all you might need for your stay. The place is really peaceful and perfect to relax. Chris and Jo are very friendly and helpful, and have lots of tips for places to go, local restaurants etc. We thought it was so welcoming, beyond providing the cooking essentials like olive oil, salt and pepper, we were also stocked up with teas, coffee, bread, and tomatoes, eggs, and milk in the fridge on our arrival. We would definitely come back and recommend it to our family and friends.

Cozy, peacveful, amazing

  • 5 of 5

We had the most amazing stay at Chris & Jo’s in Abruzzo.

They are such lovely people who made us feel extremely welcome, provided us with a lovely welcome package, so we didn’t starve at our arrival, helped us out with tips for the local area and were in general really warm and friendly hosts.

The apartment is nicely decorated and very home-y and cozy – however, we didn’t spend much time inside but stayed permanently in either the pool area or on the fantastic roof top terrace. The peace and tranquility is indescribable as is the 180 degree view (at day as well as at night), and we will definitely be going back to this little slice of heaven as soon as possible.

Beautiful countryside villa

I was thoroughly impressed by Villa di Stelle. Chris and Jo were delightful hosts. The villa was quiet, private and pristine. Set amongst picture perfect scenery I found it a superb place for some R & R and a highlight of my trip to Italy.

Beautiful villa in spectacular location

  • 5 of 5

Villa di Stelle is the perfect destination for a week of relaxation, great local Italian food, and magical views of the Abruzzan countryside.

The immaculate villa is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated and fitted, with everything we needed in our home away from home. We loved the spectacular views of the Majella mountains while swimming in our own pool.

We visited many of the nearby towns, which were charming and refreshingly un-toruistified. There's great gelato to be enjoyed at each one, and it's amazing to eat in restaurants filled with locals (and at local prices!). The nearby beaches are pretty great, too.

Thanks Jo and Chris for looking after us so well. We can't wait to be back soon.
