Comfortable weekend stay in Brighton.

  • 4 of 5

House well located for shopping and beach, clean and comfortable, over four floors. Some noise from the pub opposite on Friday and Saturday, but no big deal.

Minor issues....provision of a dishcloth would have helped us to keep surfaces cleaner, the dishwasher didn't clean very well (unless we weren't using it correctly),the lounge would benefit from some ambient lighting other than central ceiling lights and the windows would benefit from a clean outside. None of the above should stop you choosing this property however.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave your 4 star review & also for leaving your personal feedback: we always welcome suggestions on ways to improve our service. We supply dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, black sacks, tea towel, towels, linen, sponges and scourers as standard. We also regularly check the salt levels and rinse aid levels on the dishwasher: ( also supplied.) There are instruction manuals for appliances in the kitchen drawer: we will now add a dishcloth in with the self catering starter welcome pack. We currently have the windows cleaned every 6 weeks we have now increased this to once a month. The property is located in a very central city location just a minute from the seafront: if there is a storm in the interim between cleans: salt & rain residue may be left on the windows Seagulls and birds are regular visitors too! We have relayed your comments to the owners and the housekeepers to keep an extra vigilant eye out for this. There is a free standing lamp & down lighters in the living room along with additional lamps scattered around the house: due to your personal preference for additional lighting in the living room: we have requested extra lamps to be supplied We hope that these issues did not unduly affect your enjoyment or your stay at Seagull's and look forward to welcoming you again soon! Jane of KeyStay on behalf of the owners of Seagull's Thank you once again
