The apartment is on the 2nd floor with access by lift, and located in Nador Street, in the prestigious, central area of District 5. It has a quiet courtyard location. It has been completely renovated, and is furnished and equipped to an excellent standard. The rooms have beautiful oak floors and magnificent, high ceilings with period lights. Original pictures and limited edition prints decorate the walls. There are several dozens of restaurants close by, from inexpensive all the way to first class international cuisine, In fact you are only two minutes away from some of the best and most popular restaurants in Budapest including the popular Borkonyha (Wine Kitchen) with a Michelin star. All forms of public transport -metro, tram and bus are also in the immediate area.The Danube and the beautiful Chain Bridge are a 2 minute walk, and Vaci Street and the new Fashion Street by The Kempinski Hotel are only 10 mins away-the great location of the apartment lets you visit all the top attractions in Budapest on foot. Our English speaking taxi driver can meet you at the airport or train station and take you to the apartment, so that you have no worries when you arrive in Hungary. After passing through the shabby chic charm of a typical 19th century Hungarian courtyard which has yet to be fully restored, you reach our cosy apartment which has been newly renovated in a sympathetic fashion; keeping some special features such as the vaulted brick ceiling, whilst furnishing and equipping it to an excellent modern standard. The accommodation is spread over two floors, with the kitchen, eating and living area downstairs, and the spacious bedroom upstairs. There are several dozens of restaurants close by, from inexpensive all the way to first class international cuisine. In fact you are only two minutes away from some of the best and most popular restaurants in Budapest including the Michelin star rated Borkonyha (Wine Kitchen). All forms of public transport -metro, tram and bus are also in the immediate area. Myself (Bridgett Gill) and my partner (Brendan Wheatley) are in our early sixties and involved in the world of opera. We run Swansea City Opera, a mid scale opera company which tours all over the UK, and a registered charity. The history, culture and love of music of the Hungarian people were a great influencing factor in our decision to buy a classical apartment in Budapest. We were looking for an investment for our retirement and had planned to visit three countries before making our choice, but after seeing the beauty of Budapest and finding the Hungarian people so friendly and welcoming, we decided to look no further. Why we chose this location: Because we live in a very old cottage in Wales and love historic houses, we were looking for a building and apartment that had history and original features. We think we have found the perfect apartment and have completely renovated and restored it with a lot of love and thought. As well as being in a beautiful building, the apartment is close to all forms of public transport, and central to all the tourist attractions and the Opera House. In addition, because we love good food and wine, we chose a location with good restaurants close by! By the way I can heartily recommend Hungarian wine, not a lot of it is sold abroad as they keep most of it for themselves!
We took our time over renovating our apartment because we wanted to preserve the old Hungarian character whilst having all the advantages of modern living. The apartment was a former stables and we have preserved the vaulted brick ceiling which is a unique feature. Being on the ground floor the apartment could have been cold in the winter, so we have added underfloor hearing and have put 3 inch insulation on the walls, making it really cosy when it is chilly outside.
A quick note to say thank you for letting us stay in your lovely apartment over the New Year. Everything was perfect with the apartment - very comfortable and great location. A beautiful city with so much to see and do. Attila was fantastic. Our flight out was delayed a couple of hours due to the fog so we were really pleased he and his colleague were there to pick us all up. Lovely to see the city still lit up with Christmas decorations and the fireworks over the Danube to bring in the New Year. Thanks again for all your help.

Our stay at Nador 19 was terrific. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms that were more than adequate for our stay of two people. The apartment was as advertise: clean and convenient and we were able to check in early. Arrangements were made wit Attilla, who we recommend highly, to meet us at the railway station and take us to the airport--even at 4 AM. The apartment is across the street from a supermarket and around the corner from a wide assortment of restaurants. It is la very short--5 minute walk to the Basilica, 10 minutes to Parliament and less than 10 minutes to the Charles Bridge. Extraordinarily convenient to the major attractions. Would definitely stay here again
We stayed 4 nights. Gorgeous property and perfectly located in a cute neighborhood. There were lots of great choices for coffee, bakery, and dinners out. We felt safe and secure and loved being near a college with lots of young people nearby. The apartment was very clean and well-appointed. The kitchen was modern and bright. We would stay there again!
Bridgett was very communicative and connected us with a great pick up and delivery service. The apartment had 2 lovely bedrooms and updated bathrooms. The kitchen was updated and well stocked. The location is ideal for enjoying Pest sights and the numerous and excellent restaurants. I highly recommend this rental.
We had a wonderful 3 days in Budapest and wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment had a lot of charm and ample space for me, my partner and adult son. Bridgett kept in touch with us and arranged for Atilla to meet us at the train. He was very helpful and took us back to the train as well. The apartment had everything we needed and we found it to be very comfortable. There were good restaurant recommendations. We would have liked a map but had no trouble finding one in the city. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

A really beautiful apartment, so clean and warm, and all the facilities you could possibly want in an apartment. The apartment itself is situated right in the middle of Budapest surrounded by lovely coffee shops bars and restaurants. A place I will definitely be coming back to in the near future.
The apartment is in the perfect location, near the Basilica in the prestigious District 5. All the top tourist attractions are within an easy 10 min walking distance, including the Opera House, Parliament, National Art Museum, Castle District and the funicular railway, the Famous Chain Bridge and the Vaci Utca shopping street. It is also close to a supermarket and a covered market where you can by excellent fresh produce. It is also, very importantly, only 2 mins walk from some very good bars and restaurants; the Hungarians have some really excellent wine and food! The nearest metro station is 5 mins walk away, and bus and tram stops are 2 mins away. The apartment is also close to the street which houses all the prime antique shops specialising in Biedermeier and Art Deco furniture. Budapest is regaining its former glory, there is street after street of fabulous architecture, many buildings are fully renovated and many still have their rather shabby-chique charm.
