The Cedars is a 5 bedroom Cedar Clad country lodge nestled amongst woodland on the prestigious Pullwood Bay Estate, making it a truly peaceful retreat. This unique property has been recently renovated and converted to an exceptional standard. The kitchen offers Neff appliances and a cosy fixed seating area. The large lounge dining space is equipped with a log burner, and french doors that lead out onto the patio. There is also a mezzanine above the lounge offering a second lounge area with comfy corner sofa and TV. There are 5 bedrooms three of which have ensuite bathrooms. The masterbed offers a large dressing room area and cosy seating area.

The Cedars is a timber clad lodge nestled in Pull Woods in Ambleside, its the perfect setting for a truly memorable holiday in one of the most beautiful areas of the Lake District National Park. The nearby village of Ambleside has a wide array of restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops and galleries. The Cedars has lake access and is surrounded by the woodland and it's extensive wildlife. The Deer can be spotted wandering through the woods most days.

What makes this house unique

The Cedars is a really unique property, its a converted tractor store, lodge and offices. With its timber clad exterior The Cedars sits perfectly in it's woodland setting. It has direct access to the Lake and Pull Woods, its the perfect property for a family holiday. If you are into walking many footpaths are accessible on foot from the property, we are also a short 2 min drive from the acclaimed Drunken Duck Inn! Please note the property has access to Pullwood Bay Estate grounds and the Lake but is not lake fronted.

Cedar House in Pullwood Bay estate

This was a superb location and a very comfortable house

We had family ranging from 2 to 90 years to celebrate 3 nights of Mums 90th birthday

Helen Smith who looks after the property does a superb job and is so helpful

in every way Extremely professional at her job and patient

We had a small waterleak in the kitchen and it was attended to in an hour

Would go back without a doubt

Truly Magical In The Woods Hideaway

Stunning property throughout, Helen really has a kean eye for interior design. Amazing place and more than enough room for 10 people.

The lodge is set in the woods so you really do need a car to get put and about.

If i had the tiniest niggle it would be to rearrange the living room area to provide enoug seating for 10.

But the photos really do not do this place justice.

If your after peace and tranquillity then load your car up with enough supplies of food and drink , turn your phones off and just enjoy the gorgeous scenery. You'll soon feel recharged.

Fantastic property and relaxing stay

Great property, well appointed, very stylish and high quality finishing's. The location was great and very private. You can walk around the grounds and there are walking paths to Wray Castle which is about 1.5miles away. The coffee machine was great in the kitchen, freshly ground beans. The fridge is a bit on the small side for a large group, we did a Tesco.com delivery which worked out really well. There are no condiments in the house so make sure you take your own salt and pepper and oil etc if you are cooking. We all had a great time and will plan another trip. Great base for exploring the lakes and getting the family together.

A Wonderful Week

After extensive research for a special family getaway location, we chose The Cedars. We were not dissapointed and were thoroughly impressed by the location, the quality of accommodation and the 'home from home' feel. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing and rural (but not too remote) location then this is perfect. Helen the manager was extreemly helpful before and during the stay. Well worth a stay (even if it just means you get to use the coffee machine!).

Fantastic Property

We spent three nights with our children and grandchildren at The Cedars in celebration of my husband's 70th birthday. The property is beautifully located in the middle of the woods and is very well appointed. It is spotlessly clean and all linens and kitchen equipment are of an extremely high standard. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were all lovely and clean and there was loads of hot water. The property is very spacious and living together (10 people) was absolutely not a problem. There were lots of board games provided - all in tip top condition. The area surrounding the property and leading down to the lake is absolutely beautiful and we would definitely revisit The Cedars.

We took lots of food with us and also had an on-line shop delivered by Tesco on the afternoon of our arrival. This worked out perfectly and we certainly turned out some fabulous meals in the well equipped kitchen! #We greatly enjoyed the bean to cup coffee machine as we're all coffee fanatics.

Our overall impression was that it was even better than shown on the website. Thank you Helen for all your help beforehand.
