Situated by the Palais Longchamp entrance, on a peaceful street, this area has maintained the qualities of a traditional Marseilles neighbourhood with its variety of shops and cultural areas. This detached home opens onto a terrace with a flower garden, and is located close to close to all the facilities. All thoroughfares are easily accessible, with St-Charles station 14 minutes away by subway. Public transportation, such as the subway, streetcars, and buses allow you to easily traverse the city in every direction.
15 minutes away by streetcar, walk along the old port, visit Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, take river ferries along the beaches, or continue your visit to the MUCEM museum by strolling through the old Panier neighbourhood along the new seaside esplanade. The new Joliette Euroméditerranée business district is 20 minutes away by streetcar or subway. There are also cultural attractions there, such as theatres, performance venues, and a museum. The Terrasses-du-Port mall is also located in the district.
Completely renovated in 2014, this city house has been adapted for business trips and tourists. Comfortable and elegantly decorated, it marries modern sobriety with the warmth of various pieces of vintage furniture. The house's ground floor consists of a living room with a flatscreen TV that gives onto a furnished terrace, a dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen.
On the first floor, there is a large bedroom with a TV, with a 160x200-cm bed and a small adjoining bedroom that contains a 90x180-cm bed and a separate bathroom with a toilet. There is also a separate restroom and laundry room with a washing machine.
On the second floor, there is a large bedroom with two 90x180-cm beds as well as a bedroom with a sofa bed for two people. There is also an adjoining bathroom with a toilet. All rooms are furnished with wardrobes and closets.

Marseille born and bred, I'm proud of my city and of this neighbourhood, which has maintained a quality of life that is close to that of a village centre, even though it is in France's second city. Parc Longchamp is located a few minutes from the holiday rental is a veritable godsend for its fresh air. It's lovely to go and refresh yourself there in the summer. After 20 years as a civil servant, I'll retire at the end of 2015. From then on, I can share my memories and knowledge of the city to my holidaymaking friends if they so desire.

This house is located in the same neighbourhood where the owner was born, and where her family lived for many generations. Our plan is to keep it in the family for many generations to come.
This house won me over, as well as my daughter, at first because of its location in the city, near public transportation. Another big plus is its proximity to all the public facilities that are necessary every day: schools, universities, hospitals, cinemas, post offices, supermarkets, etc.
The house is located in a peaceful cul-de-sac. Additional security is provided by a public surveillance camera situated on an angle on the road. Parking is free.
The house, built on a traditional Marseille plan on three storeys, is detached and has a private entrance as well as a 25-sq.m private terrace. The house was completely renovated in 2014 in order to bring it up to modern standards.
Colette was extremely friendly when we arrived, and had lots of info on good places to check out. The apartment has a perfect location. Metro / Trams / Buses were all extremely close and easy to use. Patisserie / Coffee Shops / Grocery Store all no more that a few hundred meters away. The area is very quiet, Vieux Port is a 15 minute walk and the Saint Charles railway station in 10 minutes.
The apartment was clean and exactly as advertised, beautiful terrace, Large windows, Laundry, Kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms. Having 2 showers was great to have with a group of 6 of us.
Only recommendation would be to add wifi in the apartment. As there is not much for internet in the area. Other than that we loved our stay and would definitely return to stay in this apartment. We would recommend staying here to anyone coming to Marseille for a short or long stay.

On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Colette even though we were delayed and arrived after midnight. Apartment was perfect and as described and shown in the photos. Very quiet location and walking distance to local shops, supermarkets. Tram stop 2 minute walk away to travel to Old Port. Would recommend to anyone staying in Marseille. Colette was very accommodating. Only recommendation would be to add wifi in the apartment. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to stay in this apartment. Elles est très bien équipée et pratique.
Elle est située en centre ville, à proximité de nombreux magasins et restaurants.
Le quartier est très calme et les voisins sympathiques.
Le Vieux Port n'est qu'à 15 minutes à pied et la gare Saint Charles à 10 minutes.
Les transports en commun sont à proximité : tram, métro, train.
Un superbe parc à deux as.
La propriétaire, Madame Theule, est très accueillante et pleine de bons conseils et astuces sur la ville.
Bref, que du bonheur!
Cette maison est idéale pour un court ou même un long séjour. Nous vous la conseillons vivement !

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cette maison, située en centre ville, mais très calme de par sa situation dans une rue sans issue, en retrait par rapport à la route. Maison très lumineuse, décorée avec beaucoup de soin, moderne, propre et très fonctionnelle.
La proximité des transports en commun est un atout supplémentaire, ce qui nous a permis de laisser la voiture et ainsi éviter les embouteillages.
De plus, accueil très chaleureux de Madame Theule qui nous a guidé dans le choix des sites et des restaurants à visiter, avec en plus une attention pour notre petite-fille (mise à disposition d'un lit bébé et d'une chaise).

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la luminosité dans les pièces et le calme environnant, d'autant plus agréable et étonnant que cette maison, très fonctionnelle, est située en pleine ville.
Tout est parfait : l'aménagement, le confort, la proximité du parc Longchamp, très sympa en cette période surtout pour les enfants. Nous avons aussi pu profiter du soleil sur la terrasse.
Merci à Colette pour ses conseils et de nous avoir incité à prendre le tramway, qui nous a permis d'aller en quelques minutes sur le vieux-port, sans avoir à prendre la voiture. Et vu les embouteillages, c'est appréciable !

Numerous cultural and athletic activities take place in the city throughout the year (Jazz festival, exhibitions, shows, boat races, Marseille-Cassis foot race, etc.).
