Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Cotignac - Green Acres Provencal Villa

3 Bedroom, 1 Office, 3 Bathroom, 2 Wc, Pool, 9,000m2 Rural Setting.

Green Acres is situated on a tranquil 9,400m2 panoramic hillside location just 5 minutes from Cotignac centre (http://www.la-provence-verte.net/decouvrir/cotignac.php), or a 15 minute bike ride / 30 minute walk along a quiet country road.

This bright modern house has been set into the hillside to discretely blend in with its natural surrounding beauty. Green Acres feels contemporary and artistic whilst still keeping its country charm. The two main exterior fascias of the house are made up of local stone that the house is built upon. A modern aggregate floor is combined with rich, warm eco-friendly Brazilian Walnut showcasing the thought in design and under-stated virtue.

The house has been structured to offer a large entertaining / gathering space whilst maintaining privacy when wanted, through the creation of two separate wings.

Towels / bed linen are available for an additional charge per person.

Unfortunately, while we love animals, having them in our rental isn't possible.

About Jackie W.

I'm a Canadian living and working in Europe for the last 15 years. I love the south of France - well anywhere in France - and would love to share my experience and passion for the area with my guests. I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Jackie W. purchased this villa in 2014

Why Jackie W. chose Brignoles region

The house is a dream holiday for lovers of the outdoors, tranquility, and of course great French food and wine. It's in the perfect location to easily access village life, while being set in a secluded plot above a vineyard (where degustations are recommended and are within walking distance!).

What makes this villa unique

Unusually spacious interior integrated into the landscape - making for a unique stay in the provencal hills.

Stunningly beautiful French villa!

  • 5 of 5

I was blown away by this stunning villa when we arrived in the evening which just got better in the morning when I saw the view! Whether you are sitting on the terrace or at the pool there are uninterrupted views of the beautiful French countryside.

The accommodation is excellent, very comfortable, clean and the kitchen is well equipped.

The villa is in a great spot and you feel you are the only people around for miles but the local town is a 5 min drive. Cotignac is a pretty town with all the amenities you need. There are many decent restaurants and a market on a Wednesday.

We hired bikes from the owner and it was alot of fun cycling through the olive trees and vines to visit the local sights.

We found the owners really helpful and knowledgeable of the area and they suggested some great places to visit.

We will definitely be going back as we loved staying at the villa and there is so much more to explore in the area.

Fantastic property, wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

Wow, we are just back and I'm already thinking about when we can return. The property is set in it's own grounds, it is secluded and peaceful with stunning views over the Provence landscape. It has all the amenities you could think of and more. We travelled with my two year old daughter and she loved the open space and the pool area but the property would be equally well suited to an all adult party.

Cotignac is the perfect location to explore Provence, within easy access of the coast, lakes and mountains. The town itself is lovely and within a 30 min stroll or a short bike ride (bikes rented at property for a very reasonable rate). The owners appear to have thought of everything needed to accommodate families (cot, child bike seat etc.) and adults alike.

In summary, if you are seeking a luxury base to explore Provence then this is the perfect place, we will definitely be returning!

Beautiful villa set in stunning surroundings

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with a group of friends for a long weekend and this was the perfect place to explore a stunning part of the world. The house itself is very big with a fantastic high-ceilinged main living area and a very big kitchen with adjoining bbq area. It is set in beautiful surroundings with amazing views over a valley full of vineyards and forests.

The nearest town, Cotignac, is a 10-15 minute walk or a very short drive away and is a very scenic little town, sitting at the base of a stunning cliff face. There are a couple of very nice places to eat and the market on a bank holiday Sunday was well worth a visit. This is also a great location from which to explore the rest of Provence.

In summary, this was a great property in a great location and provided a wonderful bank holiday getaway. We definitely hope to return.

Amazing villa with stunning surroundings

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful villa with a fantastic host. Jackie was very helpful, providing information on local attractions and even bikes to use to explore the area. Villa is fully equipped with modern amenities, comfortably sleeps 8, has high ceilings and wonderful views. Outdoor BBQ and terrace/seating area provides stunning views of the surrounding valley. Secluded property only 10 minutes from the nearest village (by bike).

Great house, lovely area, fantastic holiday!!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely estate! We had the best time - Thank you so much!

Spent a week with a group friends. The location is fabulous and layout of the house and gardens could not be better. Made for entertaining and quality time with enough room for some privacy, too.

Very clean, organised and the house is superbly equipped, with bikes & helmets, board games, BBQ, huge kitchen for eight of us to chop and cook at the same time.

We took full advantage of the village being so close - having drinks in the village and not having to drive. One of my favourites - the Sunday antiques market!

No doubt - we will be back!!

Cotignac village (http://www.la-provence-verte.net/decouvrir/cotignac.php) is a 5 min drive / 15 min bike ride / 30 min walk away. All local amenities available including restaurants, cafés groceries (SPAR and 2 gourmet épiceries), pharmacy, many charming boutiques. There's even a village cinema in the Grainage!

Visit the famous rocher (cliffs above the village) and their caves, as well as the imposing Saracen towers. Take a walk to the local falls or Notre Dame de Grace for a picnic.

Hop on your bike onto the local trails between villages. We love the challenging but short ride to Correns for an afternoon rosé.

The beautiful waterfalls and shaded path of Sillans la Cascade are only 15 minute drive away and are a welcome respite on hot summer days.

The renowned Gorge de Verdon (http://www.lesgorgesduverdon.fr/en/index.html) is only a 35 min drive away. Hiking, paddle or electirc boat rides, beaches and swimming, and mountain biking in a world class setting are at your fingertips.
