A short downhill stroll from the property takes you into Lostwithiel which offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants as well as a host of antiques shops that earn the town its reputation as being the antiques capital of Cornwall. Outdoor enthusiasts will also be spoilt for choice with the river offering kayaking canoeing and fishing opportunities. There are also some beautiful walks around Restormel Castle and along the Saints Way. Other attractions close by include The Eden Project Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lanhydrock House and Gardens and Polkerris and Parr beaches are within a 15 minute drive of Lostwithiel. There is also a railway station in the town ideal for those who do not drive or who wish to travel by train as you can hop on and off easily; London to Penzance without any fuss.
