15 Avocet Quay is a superbly placed deck house on the seaside waterfront in Emsworth. Stand out on the balcony and enjoy panoramic views of the bright blue sea and green fields surrounding you. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine as you over look the sunset on a hot summers evening or even wrapped up on a chilly winter night.
Spiraling up the centre column of the deck house you will find yourself in a comfortable living area, with open plan kitchen and dining space. With the deckhouse raised from ground level and with tall French windows from every angle of the room you can catch a glimpse of the blue sea on your doorstep. The open layout makes the deck house, light , airy and the perfect social space for the family to spend time together on their holidays.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to self cater during your stay. There is plenty of kitchenware, utensils, oven with hob, dishwasher , fridge, freezer, microwave, toast and kettle. A washing machine can be found in the ground floor utility area.
The deck house has two bedrooms, one double room with stunning views out to sea and a second bunk bed room with double underneath making it perfect for families or couples traveling together. Between both rooms there is a family bathroom with a large shower cubicle.
Parking is beneath the deck house and of special interest to sailing and watersports enthusiasts, at high tide nearby is private access to the sea, along with under house storage for boats, sailboards and jet skis. 15 Avocet Quay is situated perfectly to take a short scenic walk into Emsworth village, just follow the coastal path running along the front of the property and you will find yourself on the pretty small town's harbourside in no time at all. Emsworth is a delightful market town popular with sailors, walkers, artists and tourists. It has two tidal mill ponds which are host to a variety of wild life. It is full of history, with a long established reputation for oyster fishing and boat building and still boasts traditional shipwrights and chandeliers.
Emsworth boasts a handful of independant restaurants including the michelin starred ' 36 on the Quay' overlooking the water. By foot you can easily get to the bottom of South Street where you will find a cafe over looking the harbour, 'The Bluebell' Pub, well known in the local area for their excellent fish and chips and 'Fat Olives' restaurant.
The sailing club is a thriving centre for sailing enthusiasts and the pretty streets have a fascinating mixture of different architectural styles. A gentle walk around the village, which has superb harbour views, gives a genuine feel for the past.
There are excellent road links to Portsmouth and Chichester (15 minute drive to both approximately) and there is also a mainline station to London. There is an interesting selection of independant shops in the town itself and there are numerous places of interest to visit in the area. These include Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, one of the largest vantage points in Europe, the internationally renowned Chichester Festival Theatre at Chichester, polo at Cowdray near Midhurst and horse racing and motor sports at Goodwood. In addition to the sailing at Emsworth there is also a very popular sandy beach at West Wittering which attracts wind surfers and surfers, as well as sun bathers.
