This spacious family apartment has recently been upgraded throughout to a high standard with a rustic yet modern finish. It is positioned 1.7km from the village of La Clusaz and 500m to the Crêt du Merle piste. A fabulous location summer and winter the apartment is in a low level apartment building containing only 6 apartments. It is quiet with lovely views over the valley. There is a ski locker in the cellar of the building. There is plenty of parking in front of the apartment building but at peak times only 1 car can be parked right out the front.
The apartment is split into two levels. The first level comprises, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, 2 shower rooms, separate toilet, kitchen and dining room with terrace on 2 sides. The kitchen diner is spacious and has views across the valley with a large central table for family dinners.
The upper level consists of a mezzanine lounge with large sofa, internet TV with channels and a DVD player with lots of dvds for children and adults alike. A door leads you through to a bathroom with bath and basin, separate toilet, 1 small single bedroom, a room with a sofa bed and a large corridor area with bunk beds. The apartment also comes with wifi and a washing / dryer machine.
Michelle and Claude manage this lovely apartment for the property owners who are based in London . They and their children have used the apartment for the last 20 years.

La Clusaz is a beautiful area which is being developed in harmony with the environment . You are in the Aravis range with 100s of kilometers of pistes on your door step, walking , mountain bike trails and lake Annecy is only a 30 minutes drive away.
This is a great apartment for an extended family holiday with the accommodation spread over two floors. It's warm and inviting after a long day skiing.
The piste is only minutes away for the enthusiastic skiers and includes gondola access to the village for the walkers.
Two lovely restaurants also within walking distance - including (obviously) on-piste prices.
We stayed in this chalet over Christmas and had a great time. The communal areas are great for big dinners and the chalet is really close to the lift to the village which is very handy. We have visited La Clusaz many times and would recommend this place!
We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet Farapreu. Michelle gave us a warm welcome & lots of useful tips about the skiing and the area in general. All facilities were clean & well-maintained. Only one parking place is available but we had 2 cars. This didn't present a problem as there was parking nearby.
