Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday cottage in Perth - Flisk, Powgavie Cottages

3 bedroom cottage, sleeps 6, peaceful with great views over the Tay Estuary

Flisk is a traditional single storey cottage, extended and refurbished to a high standard. This comfortable, homely self catering cottage is all on one level. It is adjoining to a second holiday cottage (Eppie) but not internally connected. The cottages have separate entrances. They can be rented alone or together. The cottage has a garden area (patio and grass) with parking space for two cars. There is a shed for storing bikes and a BBQ for guests' use. Inside three bedrooms provide sleeping for 6 people, in 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. An open plan kitchen dining and sitting area opens out onto the garden. About Mrs Melissa Hope

My name is Melissa Hope. The Hope family has farmed on Powgavie for over 100 years. The two Powgavie cottages, Eppie and Flisk, formerly farm workers' homes, were extended and refurbished in 2008. Since completing the cottages we have enjoyed welcoming guests from around the world and sharing our beautiful part of Scotland.

Mrs Melissa Hope purchased this cottage in 2008

Why Mrs Melissa Hope chose Perthshire

This property is a comfortable home away from home. A perfect peaceful retreat to relax and also a great central base with good transport links for exploring the surrounding area.

What makes this cottage unique

Great...

(i) base for visiting friends and family in Perth, Dundee and around

(ii) location for getting to the Highlands, and to Edinburgh and Glasgow

(iii) for families, including visitors with restricted mobility

(iv) for golfers

(v) for relaxing in a peaceful rural setting

(vi) for enjoying the view of hills, the Tay and its bridges and Fife

....finally

(vii) Dundee waterfront regeneration is well underway and we are excited about the arrival of the V&A museum.

5 Star cottage near the river Tay .

I booked Flisk cottage because of the reviews it had , It did not disappoint . The outdoor space was great for six adults and two spaniels . Sprawling countryside around us , the dogs loved it . The interior is absolutely fantastic . So clean and fresh . There is everything you need and all in great condition . The beds in the bedrooms are so comfortable they where hard to get out of in the morning . Great large family bathroom , one en-suite , plenty of towels for the week . The living area is spacious with access to the garden through the French doors . The furniture is in top condition and wifi quick and easy to join . We had complimentary wine as well . The area of Perth and Dundee is abundant with things to do , especially Scone Palace is well worth a visit . It is only twenty minutes to Perth and Dundee . We had a trip to Aviemore which is a two hour drive but well worth it , as is St Andrews forty minutes away . We were a family of two twenty year olds , two fifty year olds and two seventy year olds . The facilities in this cottage are 5 star . I recommend it to anyone visiting Perthshire and surrounding areas . Anthony Parkin ,Derbyshire .

Excellent Cottage in a Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

A very well presented cottage done inside and out to a very high standard. A beautiful location, quite and relaxing. We were a family of 6 and had plenty of room, all rooms are well presented and spacious. The children loved the toys available to play with both inside and out. Could not have asked for a better week. Thanks to Ian and Dave who were both lovely. Would highly recommend to everyone!

We were a group of 5 .. Family and friends .. Who spent the New Year at Powgavie Farm Cottages .. We got a lovely welcome from David Hope .. Who showed us around the cottage .. The cottage was comfortable .. Warm and spotlessly clean .. We visited both Perth and Dundee and ate out twice at the Inchture Hotel .. We had our wee dog with us and he enjoyed all the walks ..It was lovely ..

Another wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

Yet another wonderful stay in Flisk. This really is our home from home. We love it here as the cottage is so clean and comfortable with views you never tire of. It really is a joy to come up here to this location and it is situated perfectly for our needs. We would happily recommend either of the cottages to our friends and family and will stay here whenever we come to Scotland :-)

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We were very happy to stay here a second time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. The property is immaculately clean and has everything to make your stay comfortable. The booking and payment process, communication with owners and entry/exit are completely hassle-free. The location is great with easy 15 minute access to Perth and Dundee. It's a very peaceful spot and the views are stunning at any time of day or night.

Just what we needed

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cottage, clean and had everything we needed for a family break, including the wi-fi for the teenagers. The views were great and the location of the property was ideal for doing the activities round about. We felt like we were away from it all, yet Dundee was only a 10 minute drive. Thank you for a lovely time.
