Situated in a beautiful conservation area on the unspoilt coast of West Wales, Hill House is a local landmark which overlooks the village of Llansteffan, recently voted Wales' best kept secret. Hill House offers peaceful self catering holidays and therapeutic breaks for those seeking rest, recuperation, and quiet surrounded by idyllic Welsh countryside with panoramic sea views. To maintain a peaceful environment no children under 6 are catered for and there is no TV or radio. There is internet access.

The rooms are simply decorated with wood furniture and light colours; this unit at the top of the house has high, beamed ceilings. It is approached via two staircases. There is a separate double bedroom on one side of the staircase, with a shower room, kitchen, twin bedded room and large living area with a sofabed on the other side of the staircase. There are wonderful, far-reaching views over the church, the castle, the village, the fields, and the Towy estuary.

There is central heating and electric radiators. The large downstairs kitchen is available for use by prior arrangement at no extra charge, and guests are free to use the house library and DVD collection in the Common Room on the ground floor. We ask that guests are mindful of other occupants of the house.

The house is approached up a long narrow driveway with stone walls at either side. Nervous drivers may prefer to park in the street at no charge, or in the beach carpark, a short walk away. We ask that outdoor shoes are left in the entrance lobby, with indoor shoes or slippers used inside the house.

Lovely property with wonderful views

The hillside location rewards you with wonderful views over the surrounding village, castle and bay. The house is a lovely period property which feels like a home (from home). The rooms are light and airy, the bed was very comfortable and the common room is a lovely place to relax.

Loved the Lookout

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hill House, which was high on the hill overlooking the village. We were met by the owner who was very welcoming and friendly.

The apartment was near the top of the house and was self-contained with its own kitchen, however we also had use of the main kitchen on the ground floor. Most remarkably, because the bedroom was at the front of the house, the view of the estuary was spectacular and we spent our breakfast time looking out over the vista.

We would highly recommend a break at the Lookout apartment in Hill House.

El dueño es muy agradable y amable, pero la casa no es lo que parece. El acceso en coche es muy dificil, la casa está muy vieja, llena de humedades y bastante sucia. El alquiler no corresponde a la casa completa, la cocina que se ve en las fotos es una cocina compartida, la que pertenecía a nuestro ático era muchísimo peor.

Owner's Response: I see that you expected the entire 12 bedroom mansion, although the title clearly says "Top Floor of ..... Also you were surprised by the driveway although it is in the description. And lastly you were not happy with the kitchen although you had full use of the large downstairs kitchen as per the description. I think you needed to read the description more carefully... perhaps with a better English speaker? If you had called me at any time I could have cleared up most of your misconceptions... as I was away during your stay. Nobody else has complained of dust.
