1 double and 1 twin bedroom. Open plan kitchen and living area. Small patio

Tucked away in a quiet courtyard of private houses yet less than 5 minutes walk to Penzance promenade or town, Chough Cottage is an ideal base for exploring West Cornwall and Poldark Country.

Downstairs there is a tastefully furnished open plan living and dining area and a well equipped kitchen.

Upstairs there are is one twin and one double bedroom with firm comfortable beds and quality Egyptian cotton bed linen. The bathroom has a modern electric shower over the bath.

There is gas central heating and the downstairs living area has a modern coal-effect gas fire.

The cottage is very well insulated and is warm and cosy in the Winter months.

Outside there is a small South West facing patio with a table and four chairs.

Private parking for one car is situated immediately outside the cottage.

A travel cot and high chair are provided.

Pets welcome.

Lovely property, so clean, everything we needed, great to have parking, a really restful property.

Such a lovely property, a real gem. Beautifully clean and decorated and furnished in a very restful way. Arrived to scones, jam and clotted cream, milk, bottle of wine and flowers - a lovely touch and the scones were really appreciated after a long journey. Great location for exploring the peninsular. We hired bicycle in Penzance and cycled to Mousehole, caught the train to St Ives and walked along the seafront to Marzion to get to St Michaels Mount. Would recommend a visit to Cape Cornwall, very dramatic. There are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance of the cottage. The final touch was we had fantastic weather. Thank you Mary for all the nice extras.

Wonderful cottage with the perfect location in Penzance

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage - well situated close to all the amenities and tucked away in a quiet location off the road. It was convenient to have an allocated parking space right infront and made our days out from Penzance much easier. The neighbours were also very friendly! The cottage was extremely clean and presentable, and much more spacious upstairs than we expected. It was very well equipped with everything we needed during our stay and felt like an ideal little home away from home. We were all very comfortable there and would definitely go back and stay again!

Lovely cottage

The welcome package of fresh scones, jam, clotted cream and coffee fixings was very appreciated. A well fitted out little cottage for two couples. We especially enjoyed the patio area after our long walks during the day. Parking, as advertised is tight and the guys enjoyed the challenge of tucking the car into the designated spot. There is a bit of a musty smell coming from the sink? which is the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star but it wouldn't stop us from returning!

A real home away from home

A lovely, spacious cottage with everything you need for comfortable stay. Great location for exploring the local area and parking right outside the cottage is a real bonus! Lots of little touches to make it feel like home. We definitely recommend Chough Cottage!

Lovely well kept and thoroughly clean property

We have been renting cottages for holidays for about 15 years now which roughly equates to 30 cottages as we always like staying two different places during the fortnight. I have to say that this was the best we have ever had. Modern and well equipped, thoroughly clean and everything you need was supplied. We also got a cream tea, milk and a bottle of wine! such nice thoughtful touches. Added to all this the location is perfect for all areas of the town and across the road from the sea front. The owner even allows pets and out two labradoodles really enjoyed the holiday. Your own parking space also and very nice neighbors you couldnt ask for anything more. We have never booked the same cottage twice, we have booked this one already for 2017!

Well done to the owners and thank you for providing such lovely accomodation.

Perfectly situated for exploring the Land's End peninsula. Many stunning beaches are only a short drive away and Penzance prom only 2 minutes walk. The town centre is only 5 minutes walk with its many restaurants and cafes, art galleries and quaint shops. Morrab Gardens, a sub tropical gem is around the corner and the lovely Penlee Park with tennis courts and an open air theatre is also nearby. Penlee House gallery and museum has many Newlyn School paintings and Newlyn copper on display and an excellent café.

The area has abundant coastal and country walks and for the more adventurous there are plenty of water sports from surfing and sailing to kayaking.

National Trust properties nearby include St Michael's Mount, Trengwainton and Godolphin House.

St Ives is 9 miles away with it's beautiful light, narrow streets and lovely beaches as well as the Tate. Take the scenic train journey from St Erth to avoid the parking problems.

The Minack open-air theatre at Porthcurno is worth a visit at any time of year. There are performances from May to September and you can visit the theatre and its exhibition all year round. The Telegraph Museum at Porthcurno gives a fascinating insight into early transatlantic communication methods.

Newlyn is home to Cornwall's largest fishing fleet and to Jelbert's ice cream - a local favourite!

Further afield there is the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trelissick, Trebah , Glendurgan, Lanhydrock and Trerice as well as attractions for children such as Flambards, Paradise Park and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Geevor Tin Mine and The National Maritime Museum give an insight into Cornwall's past.
