About the property

Villa Tara, located in one of the most beautiful area of the hill town of Ravello, is immersed in a 300 square meters of private, flat garden and guarantees an oasis of privacy and peacefulness, with the convenience of being in close proximity to the main square of Ravello and all its facilities.

The garden is an explosion of green with the typical shrubs and bushes of the Mediterranean scrub, with tall olive trees, lemon trees and vineyards which provide many shaded areas and relaxation areas near the building. The garden is covered with a beautiful green lawn and embellished with a rich assortment of herbs and colourful, fragrant flowers. There are sun beds and deckchairs in the garden for those wishing to relax in the sun, savouring the pleasure of the sea breeze and enjoying the splendid and incomparable view of the sea and of the coastline.

The view of the sea is visible from virtually every corner of the house and, especially, from the garden and the upper terrace. The house is simply furnished but with attention to detail to guarantee the best possible comfort to the guests. The entire flooring throughout the property is made of traditional cotto. It is a property suitable for those wishing to relax, immersing themselves in the coastal atmosphere without, however, forgoing visits to the many characteristic villages and towns like Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, Pompei, Capri etc...

The total area of the villa, spread out over two levels, is 230 square meters indoor and 300 square meters meters of outdoor area consisting of terraces and gardens with wide panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast and the sea.

The portico runs along the whole front of the house and is covered in terracotta tiles. The portico has been set up for outdoor meals and provides a relaxation area with coffee table, comfortable wickerwork sofa and armchairs. Off the sitting room there is a very well equipped modern kitchen including a five -burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, an Italian-style coffee-maker and other small appliances. From the kitchen there is a door onto the patio with a broad view of the sea and of the coastline below. Also on this floor can also be found a bathroom equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower, a separate toilet room and a laundry area with a washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Upper floor

A wooden staircase (19 steps) from the entrance hall leads to the upper floor. It houses the night area, made up of 5 warm and cosy double bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a shower room and a wide terrace of 40 square meters. From the terrace guests can enjoy an enchanting view of the garden, of the sea and of the coastline in the distance. A double bedroom with two large French doors leading onto the terrace. Ravello is a charming little town overlooking the Mediterranean and the Amalfi Coast. If you fancy evocative seascapes and breathtaking sceneries it will be your ideal location. Ravello is well known for its musical events and the cultural roots, the charming view, the old and amazing architectures, the stunning gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, the quiet of its alleyways and the relaxing main square in front the Cathedral of St. Pantaleone.

From Amalfi there are SITA buses which connect all the Amalfi Coast towns, and also ferry boats to Capri Positano and Sorrento.

One of the ancient trails connecting Ravello and Atrani passes alongside the building. It leads down through lemon groves on to the famous Maddalena church of Atrani For the more enthusiastic walkers, steps lead all the way up to Ravello too!

If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach, and, of course, Neapolitan Riviera and Salerno as well.

How to get there

There are several ways to get to Ravello / Amalfi Coast from Naples Capodichino Airport or Naples / Salerno Train station either by renting a car or by public transport. It is also possible to arrange private transfer directly to the your property.

Ask us for quotation.

Once at the property you can get around fine without the car as parking in the towns is hard to come by and expensive.
