Situated approx.2 hours fromParis,is the medieval town of La Charite Sur Loire, the apartment is about a 7 minute walk to the centre of town, where there is a choice of restaurants, many shops and a local market on Saturday mornings.
A short drive away are the vineyards of Pouilly Sur Loire and Sancerre where you can taste the wines of the region and the well known cheese from Chavignol nearby.We also recommend that you visit Guedalon, a chateau that is being built as it would have been in medieval times where, you can also feast on food as it would have been prepared at that time in history. Bourges with its famous cathedral is about a 45 minute drive and, Nevers, the capital of the Nievre is 20 minutes
There are stairs leading up to the apartment (91sq metres)on the first floor, you enter into the lounge, dining area which has a spectactular view of the Loire River,large sliding doors lead out onto a balconey (12sq metres)The main bedroom has the same view with sliding doors onto the balconey also.All bedrooms are of a good size, there is one bathroom,and a separate toilet,the kitchen is new and well equiped.The apartment has been repainted and decorated this year 2015.There are shutters on all the windows and a roller blind on the balconey.Off street parking. Free WIFI.

I am Australian, married to Jean Jacques who is french ( with a name like that, what else ! ) We have been married for 25 years, I have lived in France for 30 years and have been renting out holiday lets and also doing B&B for most of that time though, recently took a holiday from that for about 3 years however, when I saw this apartment, I just had to have it, I did not want to rent it on a permanent basis as we want to stay there ourselves sometimes.
We live about 15 minutes from La Charite at Marseilles Les Aubigny which is a canal port so, we are on hand if you have any problems or needs.

La Charite Sur Loire is a charming ancient town dating back 1000 years with many historical features, which still exist today and is universally known as the capital of books.
This property has an exceptional view, it is in a small complex only 6 apartments and 3 studios.
One word - wonderful! Please don't be put off by the extremely reasonable price, in our opinion worth double. We've stayed in this area before, and the hosts go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic break. Apartment lovely, views amazing. Lots to see and do in the area, especially with the opportunity to visit nearby Sancerre and stock up on wine at very reasonable prices. The best bit is trying the wine before you buy. Very enjoyable.
We had our teenage son with us, who thanks to the excellent wi-if was never bored. He had his first trip in a gyrocopter and enjoyed go-karting at Magny Cours. Spent a great afternoon there as the security guard just let us in to wander around and watch the amateur racing.
Plenty of good, reasonably priced places to eat. The smal bars by the canal do great food, at great prices. There is also a large supermarket about half a mile away to stock up on supplies.
Will be returning in the spring to replenish the wine supplies and enjoy the area.

This was our first visit to France and we are so pleased we chose this lovely apartment as our base, with wonderful views overlooking the Loire.
It had very comfortable beds with lovely linen. The kitchen had top quality appliances and utensils. Plenty of hot water and the central heating was also very efficient which we unfortunately had to use due to the terrible “unusual” weather with chilly nights.
All in all the apartment had everything you require. Like home from home.
We did find that at times the road below the front bedroom was a little noisy, however, the other two bedrooms at the rear the apartment were completely quiet.
La Charité is a charming and interesting medieval town. Sancerre has wonderful views and the village was like stepping back in time.
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and hope to return.
We were given good instructions to get to the apartment and when we arrived the owners were there to meet us and show us where everything was and how the appliances worked. The apartment was furnished to a high standard and everything was of good quality. We had plenty of information about what there was to do In the area. I would have no hesitation about recommending the accommodation to friends and family.
This is a wonderfully located apartment with all the comforts of home provided by a thoughtful owner. To make the most of the spectacular views over the Loire, do not forget to take your binoculars.
The apartment is well-equipped, with efficient central heating (necessary as we were there during a cold snap) and good wifi. It is a short walk into La Charité town centre where there are some good restaurants, bakeries and other services, and close to the station for trips further afield. A large supermarket is nearby.
Day trips to Sancerre and to the medieval Chateau at Guédelon are recommended.
All in all an excellent place to stay in this charming region of France which lies only two hours south of Paris.
The accommodations was excellent, a great location, with a ten minute walk to the town centre. The property was immaculate, and the owers were very attentive and helpful. The flat was a perfect base for visting Nevers, Sancerre and Briare. We would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday accommodation to friends and family. We will definately return.

In the event of a cancellation,refunds of the amount paid will be refunded if the "Owner" is able to relet the "Property".The "client" is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy and, to have full cover for personal belongings, public liability etc.The rental period shall commence 15.00pm on the first day and finish at 10.00am on the last day.
The maximum number to reside in the "Property" must not exceed the agreed booked number without the "Owners" consent.
THE "CLIENT" AGREES TO BE A CONSIDERATE TENANT AND TO TAKE CARE OF THE "PROPERTY" AND TO LEAVE IT IN A CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION AT THE END OF THE RENTAL PERIOD; THE "CLIENT" ALSO AGREES NOT TO ACT IN ANYWAY THAT WOULD CAUSE DISTURBANCE TO THOSE RESIDING IN NEIGHBORING PROPERTIES;
The "client" shall report to Cheryl Trinquard without any delay, any defects in the "Property" or breakdown of any equipment, furniture,appliances etc in the " Property " and arrangements for repairs / or replacements will be made as soon as possible.
The "Owner" will not be liable to the "Client" for any (a) temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services. (b) for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riots, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the "Owner".
(c) for any loss,damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the "Client" if the "Property"shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and, in any such event, the "Owner" shall, within 7 days of notification to the "Client", refund to the "Client" all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. (d) for any accident or damage resulting from access to different levels of the "Property"or garden.Under no circumstances shall the "Owners" liability to the "Client"exceed the amount paid to the "Owner" for the rental
