Beautiful, charming, clean, homely, pretty, welcoming and perfect!

It's so wonderful to book somewhere that is exactly like the pictures, the cottage was clean, pretty, full of personal touches, had all the essentials and David even popped over to say hello which was really polite of him. It was a quiet location and had a small supermarket around the corner, a lovely Italian restaurant and a fish/chip shop. The cottage was the perfect size for the 4 of us staying there, the rooms were good sizes, the lounge was nice and the kitchen was a nice size for us to cook in. I would highly recommend anyone to book this cottage.

Thanks for a lovely stay David.

We were welcomed warmly by David, and were impressed from the word go!

Cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean and cosy!

Loved the design throughout the whole cottage, beds were comfy and it looks so much better than the photos!

We enjoyed the local fish and chip shop, which is quite literally across the road! Italian was nice but the best pub/restaurant to go to is The Cock Inn, which is down the road. A must try!

Would definitely recommend to all! Loved it!

Diolch yn fawr iawn David, for a lovely stay!

A real home from home!

  • 5 of 5

9-15 November 2015 - We had a wonderfully relaxing week. Christmas Cottage is beautifully presented, well thought out and with everything you could possibly need. There's a convenience store across the courtyard if you want to cook for yourself, otherwise we found the Italian restaurant across the road was really excellent (make sure you book on a Saturday night!!) and the fish & chip shop sells lots of other things beside fish and chips. Location-wise, it couldn't be better really, we found local walks as well as lots to do a short drive away. Clearwell Caves were closed unfortunately, as they are preparing them for Xmas and I am sure will be fantastic when they open again at the end of November. We loved the Sculpture Trail even in the rain, it's well worth doing the whole walk as the sculptures at the end were the best. Thanks David, for your hospitality - we really enjoyed our stay! Alain and Cath x
