The apartment is located 150 meters from the main square Terreiro do Paço, near the Castle of St. George, Old Cathedral of Lisbon, the Fado Museum, Foundation José Saramago, the viewpoints of Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol.
The apartment is situated in the historic and tourist area full of monuments, museums, trade shops, services, transport, restaurants, fado houses, terraces and viewpoints. It is a stunning walking, walk through the streets and alleyways while you listen fado coming out of sound systems of cafes and shops. It's very gorgeous and quiet, enjoy the city with wonderful views over the city of Lisbon and the Tagus river.

You can take the Metro in the international Lisbon airport and leave 150 meters from the apartment.
Transports near the apartment to visit Lisbon/Sintra/Cascais and Estoril:
A few meters, you can take the Metro from Terreiro do Paço or Metro from Santa Apolonia Station (Blue Line) or other public and tourist transport in particular, buses, boats, trams 12, 15 and the famous 28, that facilitate the visit to Lisbon, Belem, Sintra, Cascais and Estoril.
50 meters from the apartment can rent motorcycles, sidecar or segway is a great way to visit the city.
When you get to travel, we will gladly give you all the information to make you feel at home and have a quiet and refreshing stay.
All the rooms were large with quality furnishings. Kitchen was well equipped. Note that there is no air conditioning which could be a problem in high summer.
We were in Lisbon for 3 days and stayed in this beautiful apartment . Great view of the river . Very comfortable . Back bedroom is quiet. front bedrooms have a great view but tend to be noisy.Only suggestion would be to provide paper towels in the kitchen. manager Joana was very personable and easy to work with. We would stay there again. 5 stars. Location can be tricky for taxi drivers to find.
Our family of 4 including 2 adult children stayed at Pedro's property in Lisbon in late August. The property is great with lots of space that allowed my wife and me, and each of the kids to have our own bedrooms. The property was very clean, comfortable and well equipped.
The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the heart of downtown Lisbon with great restaurants, shopping and historic sights nearby.
One thing to be aware of is that the front door of the property is very difficult to find....especially if you are driving a car (which we were) as many of the surrounding street are torn up for construction and the entrance is hidden away down a small passageway. In fact, we would have been very well served to just pull off Avenue Infante Dom Henrique (the main road that runs along the waterfront and just behind the building) into a parking lot and just walk around the corner to the front door (who knew!).
Joana, Pedro's on-site representative was wonderful. She helped accommodate our odd travel schedule and provided all sorts of good advice.
The only downside to the property is that it does not have air conditioning. It was quite hot while we were there which necessitated open windows at night with the resulting street noise making sleeping a bit difficult.

The views are as good as it gets! King size beds in all 3 bedrooms. Close to everything. Walk a mile and your at
plaza Comercio, the castle, Mercado Ribeira etc. we will return and stay with Pedro again. Perfection.
Four of us, two couples, stayed here when we visited Lisbon. This is an incredibly wonderful apartment. Huge kitchen with everything to cook and dine comfortably including a small stock of spices. The kitchen has a dining table but the combination Living/dining room has a contemporary glass topped table as well.
The living room is spacious with comfortable seating. A large window over looks the Tagus just beyond the busy street below.
Two very spacious bedrooms also face the river. Open the window shutters and you can keep track of all the water traffic. Windows are sound proofed and very little street noise comes through. One bedroom has a full bath ensuite. The other bedroom has access to a bath across the hall. With the hall door closed each bedroom has its own private space.
The third bedroom is at the back of the apartment and has no view. Its window opens onto an air shaft.
This is a superb location. It's close to the Fados Museum, the waterfront, shopping districts, tram lines, castle, ferries, St Apolonia train station.
The building is from the 18th century. But it and the apartment have been recently renovated. The apartment is scrupulously clean and well maintained.
Pedro, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and quietly attentive.
Once you wind your way through narrow streets and past an active construction site, you will discover a true gem.
My family of 6 stayed in this apartment for 6 nights. We arrived to be greeted by an enthusiastic and congenial Pedro. The apartment was very spacious, clean, bright and welcoming. We easily settled in and considered it as home for the next week. The apartment is well stocked for every need. We thoroughly enjoyed the location on the river and in the middle of the Alfama district. There is easy access to restaurants, groceries, taxis, public transportation. Alfama is the oldest and one of the most typical neighborhoods of Lisbon.
Its name comes from the Arabic al-hamma, meaning baths or sources.
The most spectacular views over Alfama have been the promenade formed by the sights Portas do Sol and Santa Luzia. Over and involving Alfama are the hill of the São Jorge Castle, fortress and royal palace until the sixteenth century, and the hill of Saint Vincent. In addition to the Castle, the main area of the monuments are the Cathedral, the Church of St. Stephen and the Church of São Vicente de Fora.
Alfama is a very peculiar neighborhood resemble an ancient village not only in appearance as to have a relatively small and close community. The neighborhood is visited daily by Portuguese and foreign tourists and is considered as the safest of all Lisbon. It is known for its restaurants and homes where Fado is sung, intangible heritage of humanity, as well as the festivals of the Popular Saints, especially on the night of St. Anthony, from 12 to 13 June.
