Thank you so much for renting your condo to my family. My husband and I, and our two children (ages 6 and 3) had a wonderful time there. I have been staying at Regency Towers since I was a kid, and your unit is one of the nicest I have seen at Regency. So many little extra special touches. The beds were so super comfy, especially the one in the master bedroom, that we were inspired to buy a new bed when we got back home. The towels and linens were very nice and plush. Extra pillows & blankets were very appreciated. The place was super clean when we checked in, and the kitchen was stocked with every possible pot/pan/dish/gadget/etc (multiples of some!) that we could imagine. We enjoyed relaxing afternoons and occasional meals on the balcony. The 5th floor is the perfect height, I think - we could watch people on the beach and at the pools, without much noise. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things that should be mentioned.
Outside of the unit, we very much enjoyed the pools, and our 3yo learned to "let go" in the big pool and let her puddle jumper (lifejacket) help her float and swim. There was a family movie shown in the grassy area on Monday night, that was a very nice surprise. It was so nice to relax out there in the sea breeze with our children and enjoy a free show (they played The Incredibles). The hot tub has been renovated and was a very nice surprise; we loved the waterfall.
The beach was great. Being July, there was a little sea grass, but it didn't bother us. It was easy to spot which areas of the water had more or less of it, plus it made for more interesting sand castles/forts/etc. There was occasional rain on Sunday and Monday, which made for less-scorching days and the beach & sky after the rain was so lovely. Sandbars everywhere; the kids loved that. We found a TON of seashells. Seriously, several bags full. Digging through the little "cliffs" that the tide left in the sand (I'm sure there's a name for them?) proved well worth the effort and got us some large, beautiful, un-broken shells. We also did some kite flying in the areas on either side of the complex.
Other items to note - we enjoyed a delicious meal at Schooners on the deck overlooking the beach, great times at Shipwreck Island waterpark, great seafood at Treasure Island Market, and fine fruits, veggies and homemade hummus found at Grand Lagoon Farmers Market.
We are very much looking forward to staying here again soon!
