NEW - Highly recommended, Skandia Lodge is a comfortable holiday retreat for all the family. Set only a couple of miles outside of Chichester, Skandia Lodge is nestled at the heart of Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park. If you want to keep yourself to yourself you can in your quiet spot on the park or enjoy the vast facilities on offer. For a small charge you can purchase a weekly pass to use the on-site swimming pool or head over to the family bar for free Wi-Fi, sky TV and other entertainment. There is also good sized children's play area and mini mart store for your groceries.
Skandia Lodge itself comes with a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and washing machine, everything you need to self-cater during your stay. Chose to eat in the cosy dining area or step out onto the decking and make use of the outdoors furniture set amongst the shrubs lovingly cared for by the owner. With a large open living room you have plenty of room to relax and unwind, there is TV and DVD player and a great central coffee table the perfect size and height for a family board game!
The Lodge has two bedrooms. One good sized master double and a twin bedroom next door. Between the two you have a family bathroom with shower over the bath. You can park next to the Lodge for your stay and there is space for two cars if you need it.

Skandia Lodge is perfectly situated within easy reach of 10 large fishing lakes amongst the green West Sussex countryside. Whether you are a keen fisherman or not you can certainly enjoy the beautiful walks and wildlife all around.
While not making use of the on-site swimming pool why not head over to sandy West Wittering beach only 15 minutes away across the lush Sussex surroundings. It's hard to believe in such a tranquil area the historic city of Chichester is literally on your doorstep.
At Chichester you will find the famous Festival Theatre. Tickets can sell out fast, so make sure you take a peek at what will be showing during your stay. Amongst other attractions, there is the popular Pallant House Art Gallery, the independent New Park Cinema where you can enjoy a bottle of wine watching the latest film or catch up with your favourite classic and of course our grand Cathedral is most definitely worth a visit.
Around Chichester there are many places to explore and if you don't have a car you can make use of Chichester's excellent bus and rail services. You can get to London Victoria in an hour and a half, travel to Brighton and explore the myriad of lanes in just 40- 50 minutes and perhaps stop off and explore Arundel Castle with it's quaint town along the way.
For travellers who like to go a bit further afield, heading west to Portsmouth you can explore the famous Spinnaker tower, the old 'Spice Island' dockyards and from there make your way to the Isle of White with a ticket to Ryde, by ferry, catamaran or hovercraft! Traveling further west, if you enjoy the history Chichester has to offer you can catch a train to the cathedral city of Salisbury where you will find easy links to tours of Stonehenge.
