all of the positive comments from them.
We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at this farm. The quiet nights and mornings, the outside fireplace, the animals, the local sceneries... And all combined with the great hospitality of Ms. Gioja made it an unforgettable weekend. Ms Gioja is very proud of what she does, she enjoys every aspect; and it shows. We were met with great hospitality, and a spotless-clean home. She thought of every detail to make our stay a comfortable and perfect one. We will certainly be back.
The carriage house is spacious, clean and cozy. The surrounding property is beautiful. It was relaxing to wake in the morning, look out the window and see all this beauty. The house is well equipped with kitchen utensils, and even spices. Elizabeth is a gracious host. She took us around her 110 acres property, and allowed to meet her horses, and have kids take pictures with them. Definitely recommend.
My friends and I had a great time here. You could spend hours exploring the land or relaxing in the yard. The owner is helpful and friendly. We came to visit for an Irish music week, and the Carriage House was a perfect home base. It was above and beyond our expectations! I would heartily recommend it to anyone.
This is by far the best place I've ever stayed in the Catskills. My friends and I had such a fun and relaxing time. It's so well-appointed, with every kitchen thing you can imagine. Plenty of blankets, multiple TVs, games, books, a pond and two boats, a couple of wonderful, sweet, friendly horses, and some of the most beautiful scenery around. Elizabeth is really nice and helpful and she gave us an awesome tour on her ATV. Can't wait to come back again!
I brought my 2 grandsons, ages 8 &10 to stay at this gorgeous farm. They loved all the wild animals that the owner , Elizabeth Gioja, was able to "summon" when she called to them...deer, turkeys, geese and even "Alvin" the chipmunk who Elizabeth fed by hand! Elizabeth let the boys sit on Deja, her horse and taught them how to feed her too! It was a once in a lifetime experience that we all loved...even without electronic devices!!!!
If you want a fabulous time in the country to relax and reset life's clock - this is the place for you!! The carriage house is a nice, quiet two story building. Downstairs you will find the washer/dryer, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and second bedroom (queen) and upstairs a sitting room and the master bedroom (king). Scattered throughout the house are absolutely gorgeous antiques from as far back as late 1700's. The owner, Elizabeth Gioya, has quite a penchant for photography and oil painting and some of her work adorns the walls. It is on 110 acres of lovely land with a pond. Since the house is set out in the country there are DAILY visits from deer, turkeys, geese, wild ducks as well as her own horses. It is an absolutely stunning setting. It is perfect for couples wanting to get away as well as families with children. I will definitely be coming back!
