Occupying a superb location set along an unmade lane, opposite the quiet unspoilt pebble beach which leads to Pagham Nature Reserve where numerous birds, wildlife and fauna can be seen. A perfect base to enjoy a seaside holiday, this unusual detached property was formerly two railway carriages and many of the original features are still in place including the heavy carriage doors, windows and arched ceilings. The holiday property has its own private enclosed front garden; external steps lead to the entrance and large covered balcony terrace where alfresco dining can be enjoyed overlooking the stunning panoramic sea views. Selsey has a good array of shops, pubs and restaurants, freshly caught fish of the day and leisure facilities. Chichester is about 15-20 minutes’ drive with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, cobbled streets and Goodwood Races. The South Downs and West Wittering beach are also within easy reach. The historic naval Portsmouth with Spinnaker Tower, designer shopping, exclusive dining and day trips to the Isle of Wight is within easy driving distance. Discover scenic walks, sailing, fishing, birdwatching, cycle routes and riding and golf locally. Shops, pubs and restaurants 0.75 miles.

Beautiful property.

We had a lovely stay and can only thank Flora for her understanding with our complicated booking. The house was spotless and very comfortable. We could not believe how close we were to the sea and enjoyed many hours sitting in the living room or deck sinking up the glorious view. We will definitely hope to book further holidays at the property.

Sweet Cottage with a Mesmerising View

This charming house is deceptively spacious and has the feel of a much loved family holiday home.

We stayed during some very wet and windy weather and after negotiating the small unmade road out front we were able to park directly below the house to unload luggage and close the large gates to the garden which made the place feel very secure.

We tucked ourselves up in the cosy living room which has big squashy chairs with loads of cushions and blankets, pretty pictures and decorations. Many hours were spent watching the ever changing seascape and when we did venture out on foot there is a beautiful walk up towards Pagham bird sanctuary.

The rustic kitchen contains the all important dishwasher and plenty of equipment to make and serve snacks and meals. There is a good sized dining room but I imagine in good weather most meals would be taken on the front verandah.

Bedrooms are cosy and the bathroom is large. The extra loo off the main bedroom is very handy especially for a crowd.

We drove out to Billy's on the beach at Bracklesham which was great and in Selsey town the Seal has traditional pub fare and the Riviera is a modernised cafe with a big variety of simple dishes.

We intend to return in the summer and will definitely stay at Flora's lovely house!

Very comfortable, quirky and lovely location.

A short break(5 nights) after Xmas and in to the new year. Lots of walking and looking at the views from the lounge and bedrooms to the front of the property. Would happily stay again.

The contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the client and the proprietor subject to the following booking conditions.
A deposit of 25% of the rental is payable on booking. Balance of the rental is payable 1 month prior to the arrival date. For bookings made less than 1 month in advance, the total amount is payable on the booking.
Any cancellation made by the client for whatever reason shall be in writing. If the cancellation is more than two months before the rental start date, we will reimburse you in full. Cancelations after this will result in the loss of your deposit, and cancellation 1-2 weeks before, we will retain 50% of the rental fee. Less than 1 weeks’ notice will result in full payment. We advise that you take out separate holiday cancellation insurance.
Rentals commence at 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 10.00 am on the day of departure.
The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated (6 adults + 1 cot). The proprietors reserve the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised person off the premises.
Any complaint must be made known to the proprietors immediately. No complaints will be entertained at the end of the hiring period or after the hirer has departed.
Any damage or breakages caused by blatant misuse, will be billed to the client.
Max 2 dogs permitted by prior agreement. No dog must ever be left in the property on its own. No dogs allowed on beds or furniture.
The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the hire period as at the beginning. Smoking is not permitted inside Turnstiles.
The client or members his/her party cannot hold us responsible for injury sustained or the loss or damage to any belongings during their stay at Turnstiles.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
