About Neil and Julie
We came to Fornalutx on holiday for seven years after buying a house in the village. We loved it so much we moved here permanently in 2013 and bought another house to renovate and live in. We now share our home by way of having created two self-contained properties within it.
Neil and Julie purchased this House in 2012

Gorgeous place on a quiet street, parking across street or nearby
We loved our stay and it is just as beautiful as the pictures portray. Julie and Neil were the perfect hosts. Quiet and gracious and nearby if we had questions. They were kind enough to give us a copy of Under the Mallorcan Sky, written by Neil and a must read when visiting. It's a mystery travelogue and really fills a visitor (especially a first time visiter to Mallorca) in on the culture and history of Mallorca through the eyes of an expat.
We loved the balcony off the kitchen and our hosts provided niceties in the kitchen. Thanks again. We love Fornalutx - a trip of a lifetime for us west coast USA travelers.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Majorca. The appartment was very comfortable and a joy to return to after a day of sight seeing. Beautiful scenery. Neil and Julie were great hosts.
The best place in the best mountain village
We had a great stay with Neil and Julie. The flat was perfect with all the equipment you could ask for and beautiful decorated. We enjoyed sitting on the terrase enjoying a nice breakfast cooked in the romantic kitchen. Simply fantastic and we will be back for sure. Thank you Neil and Julie
a great apartment, but....
A really lovely apartment, in a beautiful spot. Our only criticism is that we felt that the kitchen was not very well equipped...e.g. We felt the roasting tray was unusable, and there wasn't really anything that would go in the oven. Admittedly we probably cook more than others when we're self catering.
But apart from that we would certainly be happy with a 5 star rating.
Thank you taking the time to write a review. We really value our guests' opinions. I think it is unfair to say the kitchen was not very well equipped. It has an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, american style fridge, dolce gusto coffee machine, electric orange juicer, good selection of knives, pots, frying pan, crockery. As we live on the premises, we always say to guests to come to us if there is anything they need or something is not working. In this case we would happily and easily have provided a replacement roasting tray or additional ovenware. We cater to guests who like to cook as well as those who prefer to eat out.
We would be happy to welcome you back in the future.
All the best

Amazing little gem in beautiful Fortnalutx
IF you are looking for a calm, relaxing place to chill, cook, take long walks, watch DVD's, light the fireplace or the bbq you have found the right place to stay. Julie and Neil are great hosts, very friendly and will do anything to make you feel at home.
Perfect for us. Already booked our return!
Julie was a lovely host. Met us at the door to the impressive entrance and communal area of the beautifully restored old building in which the accommodation was housed.
If you enjoy staying in places of individuality and character then this is for you.
HUGE comfy bed...(Super King at least). Great attention to detail. All the comforts you need.
Welcome pack of essentials in the fridge.
Oven and hob
TV with British satellite
Large "farmhouse" kitchen
And French doors that open up the kitchen to a balcony with BBQ that overlooks the orange groves and mountains!
Unfortunately, the weather was not our friend while we were there, raining constantly (a complete freak on an island of 300 days of sunshine) but we still had an amazing time, thanks in no small part to our stay in such comfortable surroundings.
We have already booked our return!
Fornalutx is a picturesque mountain village surrounded by orange and olive groves and has been voted Spain's prettiest village.
