Superb coastal location property with two bedrooms overlooking the countryside.
Why S. Jones chose Swansea
I was brought up on the Gower Coast and after studying and working for 15 years in Bristol, I returned home. I fell in love with this property and the most amazing sea views from the front of the main house with rolling countryside views from the back! I feel very fortunate to be able to live somewhere so beautiful with the sea as my neighbour. Home is where the heart is!
What makes this House unique
The location is the first reason why the property is unique and secondly its tranquillity. The holiday let has been recently built to a high specification. It will feel like home from home for comfort and style.

Super clean and well equipped house in gorgeous near Three Cliffs Bay
The owners were accommodating with additional espresso machine and late check out. The house is decorated and furnished to a high standard with 1.5 bathrooms and is very clean. We had a comfortable stay. Great location, walking distances to shops, restaurants, post office (with cash withdrawal service). The only problem was the internet not being great. It kept dropping on Day 2 but the owners attended to it quickly. Please be aware that the property listed faces the fields at the back with no sea view. The owners live in the front of the house and the decking areas facing the sea is not for holiday let.
An excellent five-day break.
The property is as good as it appears from the description, and provided a very comfortable base for exploring the Gower. The owners, Chris and Sharon, were both extremely helpful, and did everything they could to help ensure we had the good time that we did.
A lovely stay in Southgate playing golf at Pennard and Langland Bay with friends. Sharon and Chris were very helpful with ideas for restaurants etc and we were lucky to have some great warm weather for our visit. Location and cleanliness of the property were excellent.
Devan View is a quiet place with beautiful views. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming. We enjoyed our stay.
A weekend on East Cliff
Our group consisted of four adults and we found the accommodation more than spacious enough. It was extremely comfortable, modern and very clean. The well furnished lounge and bedrooms had pleasant views out across the garden and fields with a generous patio area with garden furniture.
The hostess was very friendly and welcoming and together with her partner very knowledgable about the local area.
We used the accommodation as a base for some good walking in the area and would happily return again.
Accommodation was great and in a fabulous location for seeing the Gower
We enjoyed great coastal walks from the front door, plenty of lovely places to eat and were lucky enough to have fantastic weather too. A lovely place to relax and get away from it all. Sharon and Chris were great hosts too.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves on the Gower. Hope to see you both again in the future.
The local area is surrounded by beautiful golden beaches which includes Three Cliffs Pobbles, Hunts and Pwll Du. These are a short walk along the cliff from Devon View. There is a local shop and two coffee shops that serve delicious home food which are located in the heart of the village approximately 15 minutes walk away along the coastal road. There is a nearby club which you can walk to which is open to non members which serves meals and drinks and if you like golf, Pennard Golf Club is located on the way into the village of Southgate. A short drive away you can visit the pretty seaside resort of Mumbles with its famous Joes Icecream Parlour, local bars and cafes and chic fashion boutiques. There are local parks for the children and historic castles to explore such as Oystermouth Castle. A short walk from Mumbles are Langland and Caswell Bay. Here you can surf on the sea and visit the beachside cafes for refreshments while you watch the world go by. About 15 minutes drive from the village of Southgate is Penmaen. Here you will find an Archery and Bird of Prey Centre. The Gower Heritage Centre is located a short drive away in Parkmill and is an ideal trip for families with young children. In the next village along from Southgate there are three public houses in Bishopston: The Joiners, The Valley and The Plough which all serve food. Here you will also find is a local Co-op with very reasonable priced groceries.
