Great Place to stay, value for money and a very helpful and caring hostess / landlady

  • 5 of 5

The property is clean, neat and has everything one needs. Terry is wonderful, she was helpful, friendly, caring and gave us good advice. She cautioned us against certain activities for our safety, and even sent me some Whatsapp advice when needed and helped us, also with printing our train tickets and our Vatican tour tickets.

The apartment is in a good location close to Piazza Fiumi from where one can get a Taxi. The streets are safe and there are a number of small, value for money trattorias, restaurants and bistro's around.

It is walking distance from Villa Borghese, (5 minutes) and in my opinion, one can walk to most places. I always love walking through the neighborhoods and discovered beautiful buildings and marvelled at the old huge wooden doors.

We enjoyed the walk to the Mercato Nomentano on Piazza Alessandria where we purchased great cheese, and tortellini and a quick bite for lunch. We also walked to Mercato Centrale, at Roma Termini and even Trevi Fountain.

There are several good supermarkets for good food (in Italy, even supermarket fare is great).

I will definitely stay in this property again!

Underwhelming

  • 3 of 5

Our trip to Italy was incredible and we had the opportunity to stay at a number of apartments over the course of 2 weeks. That said, this apartment was not all it was cracked up to be. To start from, the location was not in the location it specified (1km difference), we learned this right before we arrived when we received the actual physical address (with no time to change). This was disappointing as we spent quite a bit of time researching the apartment with the ideal location that we could walk to many of the sites, piazzas etc. We ending up spending a lot more money in taxi fares to get to and from the various areas (aka Trevi fountain etc.).

The apartment itself is okay, nothing special, it was fairly clean, it was nice to have 2 bathrooms. The second twin bed in the kitchen area wasn't ideal for all travelers but did the trick for just sleeping after a busy day of site seeing, not a place to enjoy and relax. With the windows open, it was fairly noisy with the other apartments in the courtyard,

Terry was on "ok" host, she was fairly curt and we felt scolded on several occasions, not nearly as helpful or friendly as the other hosts we stayed with. The wifi did not work and we had to have it reset multiple times and even then it wasn't working well, if at all.

Overall it was "ok", nothing special and not in a ideal location if you want to be in close proximity to walking to the sites.

Owner's Response: I am really surprised by this review as I asked several times to guests if they needed anything, and if everything was okay, but I was told that they do not need anything and it was ok, in a detached manner. I thought they were very reserved. Even when I asked them at what time we could say goodbye before their departure, they were dried up and then they left without giving me a hand. Again I thought they were very reserved. However, after reading their review I knew they were just rude people. I do not feel recommending such visitors to anyone. I sent them any details on how to reach us, some days before their arrival. Perhaps they read it in a hurry and didn’t understand it. The apartment is so central that you can walk to the main and famous squares of Rome. Spanish step is only 10 minutes walking. Who wants to rent my app can read all other reviews and understand that there are so many friendly people, polite and sincere that have been great here. I do not think it is necessary to give any more responses to Stephanie who invented negativity that no one else has ever warned.

Great location, beautifully clean

  • 5 of 5

My father and I stayed in Terry's lovely apartment this weekend. Terry was there to greet us when we arrived. We had problems getting from the airport due to a taxi drivers' strike. Terry had kept in touch with us by Whats App and gave us helpful information about buses etc.

The second bedroom is a sofa bed with a small kitchenette, but this worked well for me as I like to make tea at all hours! Everything is beautifully clean and well organised. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one without. The central location is ideal for sightseeing, there is a taxi rank on the Piazza Fiume which is very handy, average fair to the centre is around €10.

A very enjoyable stay, I would definitely stay here again on future trips to Rome.

The property was in a great location and very clean.

  • 4 of 5

Terry is super sweet and will help any way she can. The apartment was nice but it is very small for 2 adults and 2 teens but worked out for us only because we were only there to sleep. The extra room for the kids is a single bed with a trundle and is directly attached to the kitchen so with 4 people there is no extra room. Great restaurants close by.

Hidden Jewel in the Heart of Rome

  • 5 of 5

This flat was spectacular, so close to everything, no need for a car, you can walk to most scenic locations and enjoy the view as you do. Close to good food and markets for food. Centrally located this a perfect little spot to relax as you enjoy Rome. Terry was a dream to deal with, helpful and always smiling. We will miss her and look forward to another trip to Rome soon.
