The location is perfect for enjoying Glasgow's west end with great transport links to the city centre, SECC and SSE Hydro. The apartment itself is on a quiet residential street with no through traffic. On the first floor of a traditional Glasgow tenement (built in the 1880's), it is perfect for a couple, a family or small group.
- Fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, fan assisted electric oven, dishwasher, microwave. There is a washing machine in the bathroom.
- Two double bedrooms - one with a double bed ad the other room with two single beds. There is also a two seater sofa bed in the living room which is suitable for a child or young adult.
- Shared back garden.

Dumbarton Road is a 3 minute walk from the flat. From here, there is a selection of buses which will take you into the city centre in approx. 10 - 15 minutes. There are two underground stations on Dumbarton Road - Partick which is a 4 - 5 minute walk and Kelvinhall which is 5 - 6 minutes away. Partick is also a main line train station so you can take trains to the SECC (one stop which takes 3 minutes), the SSE Hydro as well as Edinburgh and further afield. The number 747 bus also stops on Dumbarton Road coming to/from Glasgow airport.
Byres Road is a 6 minute walk away. You can also easily walk from my place to Kelvingrove Museum and Art Galleries, the Riverside Museum as well as the Botanic Gardens, Glasgow University and Kelvingrove park. There is also a wealth of food shops, bars, restaurants, cafes in and around this area.
The apartment was more than adequate for our needs. A fully equipped kitchen allowed us to enjoy a home cooked meal and prepare for our day trips. The building is one of hundreds of similar structures built during the early 20th century in the historic Partick area. It has been refurbished to include modern utilities, such as steam heat, gas and electric appliances. There are multiple stores within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. A large grocery store next to the train station made it very convenient for evening dinner. The transportation hub just down the road was ideal for our needs. We used all modes of travel just as the locals do. Scot Rail for longer trips, the Subway for city center and buses for travel in between. We would definitely stay at this apartment again.
This was an awesome flat - spacious, comfy, and had everything we could possibly need (ex., blowdryer, sugar/salt, soap, laundry facilities etc.). My children enjoyed the extra space - so much better than a hotel room.

A very helpful and responsive owner + a convenient, quiet location + a clean and bright and simply furnished flat, as described = a place we enjoyed coming back to after full days of exploring Glasgow's urban landscapes on foot and by public transit. We appreciated a mattress that was not hard but supportive !
Eramos cinco personas y el piso es muy luminoso y acogedor. La propietaria es un encanto y te lo deja con todo, como si fuera tu casa. A 10 minutos de KelvinGrove y 30 min andando de Buchanan es una buena opcion para visitar Glasgow. Parking gratis y abundante en la misma calle. Barrio muy tranquilo y animado con supers, bancos, bares en la zona. Aunque el patio echa de espaldas, al entrar en el piso se esta muy bien. Cocina superequipada. Calefaccion muy buena (hace falta ponerla en Agosto). VOlveriamos a este apartamento seguro caso de volver a Glasgow. Muy recomendable
Pros: (1) The flat is spacious, sunny and nicely furnished. We didn't cook but the kitchen was clean, modern and seemed to be well-equipped. The cute yellow fridge is around the corner in the sitting room. Loved having a washing machine. Had to buy clothes pegs for the line so it would be nice if those were provided. (2) Bathroom was fine; shower is great. (3) Flat is quiet (no traffic noise) other than the little children you hear running around in the flat above ~ not a problem for us. (4) The location was perfect for our visit to our son and daughter-in-law who live in West End/Broomhill/Hyndland area. We were close to public transportation, University of Glasgow, and our kids. We had a car and were able to park for free on the street. (5) The owner was friendly and responsive except when the vrbo site seemed to let us down on conveying e-mails. (With vrbo, always make sure you get the owner's personal e-mail address and phone.) It did take a week to have our security deposit returned but again, this seemed to relate to the vrbo e-mail confusion.
Cons: (1) We had two occasions when we came in after a long day out and had no hot water. Apparently turning off the heat can also turn off the hot water but we had not been told that. We moved the dial around and managed to get the hot water back on but did have to go out unshowered one night. (2) The building and hallways have a down-in-the-heel appearance. Weeds outside and concrete hallways inside. (3) The linens and towels could use an upgrade.
Bottom line, we were happy and this flat grew on us the longer we stayed. We would definitely stay there again. So much better than a hotel!
La casa è posta a pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione della subway di Glasgow-Partick, con tutti servizi relativi(markets/shops ecc)!
Lungo la strada è sempre stato facilissimo trovare parcheggio gratuito per la nostra auto.La zona è apparsa sicura. L'appartamento è ampio, rinnovato con decoro e ottima pulizia.Le camere sono ampie con letti e cuscini comodissimi. La cucina era dotata di tutto il necessario ed anche vario materiale (sale, aceto, spezie ecc ecc ). La proprietaria è stata disponibile e gentilissima. Unico lato negativo, il vano scale che purtropo si vede ancora prima di scoprire l'appartamento e potrebbe farvi deprimere all'arrivo. È in effetti un pó decadente, blandamente pulito e con svariate biciclette incatenate al corrimano.
