The space
Hi my name is Sue. I was born to H’mong parents of four daughters and have lived in Ta Van my entire life. I live with my family and run Indigo Snail Boutique Hmong Homestay, located in the breathtaking mountain valleys and rice terraces in Ta Van, Sa Pa.
Next to Lao Chai on the same side of Muong Hoa River is Ta Van village where the Zay and H’mong ethnic people live together. This is one of the best places to see the different traditional ways of living as well as learning about the Hmong culture all while taking in our incredible views.
This is a truly authentic stay with a Hmong family. I also collect Hmong textiles and traditional clothing, some of which is very rare and 80 years old. Guests can try on the clothes and learn about the Hmong tradition of indigo dying and hemp sewing.
