A walkers dream!
The location of this property is perfect for those who want to walk and also relax in a cozy private space on their vacation. The pictures are spot on as to the beauty and layout of this space. It was perfect for my husband and me. Kitchen was well stocked with any and all utensils (we stayed for 8 days) and the linens were plush. Communication with host was usually within minutes! If you are a couple visiting the historical triangle of J/W/Y, like to ride your bikes or are avid walkers like us….look no further!

Very nice cottage, comfortable for 2-3, OK for 4 persons
In general very nice. Perhaps it was a longtime ago since anyone rented the property because it was very dusty on all floors. The dust flew around with the A/C on so that could have been better. Otherwise the cottage very nice furnished, felt like a home. Sofa bed by the window in the livingroom should be expected more as an extra bed than a bed to really use for a longer vacation, a bit wind from the window and nothing nearby to put clothes in. Kitchen small but nice. Does not include a dishwasher and therefore a bit more work to cook in the kitchen.

Chatty Crafty Weekend
Two of us traveled to the area to visit a friend and planned to spend time together just catching up. The area is great for a morning walk. The York riverfront is just a few blocks away. The cottage is very tidy and stylish. Nice big gathering table and sitting area with great natural light. Hosts are super responsive.

Wonderful Stay in Yorktown
The Yorktown Cottage was the perfect place to stay on our visit to the area, within walking distance to everything in YT, and an easy drive to Colonial Williamsburg. The cottage was immaculate and we really appreciated the no-shoe, no-pet policy as well as the air filter. Christie used Free & Clear laundry detergent for the sheets and towels, and dropped off additional bedding, so it's the perfect place to stay for those with allergies. We loved the decor, artwork and comfortable furniture. The cottage is light-filled and spacious with everything you need in the kitchenette. Our hosts were responsive, kind and very helpful. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Cottage
My wife and I stayed in this beautiful cottage for 3 nights while exploring Yorktown, Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. The hosts were very accommodating and a pleasure to talk with. The Cottage itself is very clean, beautifully decorated and located in a great area very close to everything in the Colonial Triangle.

Yorktown is our first choice for raising our family.
Historic Yorktown offers a quaint town for recreational activities, and a perfect location for our eventual retirement plans.

Check out our other vacation properties; listings #1123028 & #182429.

Why they chose this property

This unique property offers a cottage feel with 2,000+ square feet, and three courtyards with gardens / flowers.

Property in the Historic District is rarely available for purchase, so it was a rare opportunity when the previous resident retired from her Yorktown-based business of over 30 years.. We have added several touches throughout the cottages (her former residence and art gallery) that hint to the previous resident and entrepreneur, Ms. Nancy Thomas.

What makes this property unique

--Private home without owner occupant on premises --No shared spaces with other travelers.
--In the heart of the Historic District of Yorktown, VA in walking distance to the beach and events!
--Offers proximity to Historic Triangle attractions, with ease of travel between Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown
--Trolley stop across from the property that offers complimentary service around Yorktown's Historic District
--Family-friendly. Children are welcome.
