Beautiful Guesthouse!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there over Thanksgiving and loved our stay! Burt is a super host, very attentive and resourceful. Always made sure we were taken care of. The guest house is beautifully decorated and well organized. The bed was nice and cozy. The bathroom was huge. He had fresh coffee beans and some New Mexico cookies waiting for us. He even had firewood prepared in the kiva. We will certainly be back...perhaps next Thanksgiving for another feast!

Great Place to Stay in Taos!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burt's guest house. The guest house was spotless, up to date, and was obviously well taken care of. We liked that it was close to town, and yet private, and restful.

Burt is a very attentive host, and has wonderful recommendations for restaurants, sight seeing, and experiences. He's the best!

I highly recommend Burt's guest house. We will definitely be back!

Ranchos de Taos

The casita and the casita grounds are emaculately kept. Very clean. Beautiful furnishings. When I stay there it is like my home away from home! The host most gracious, is knowledgeable about the area and major attractions.

What a find!

The most pleasant stay on our trip was in Bert Lippa's guest house in Taos, NM. Not only were the facilities impeccable, but Bert's hospitality was second to none. No doubt we'll be back whenever in the area. Thank's Bert!

Owner's Response: Thanks,Judy and Ron for your POSITIVE review! I work hard at it,so it means a great deal to me. Delighted that we were able to share both interesting conversation, and grilled elk steak! Sunny and blue skies continue, accentuated by golden Fall foliage. Best wishes! Burt. Sunny weather, blue skies, and bursts of Fall color continue!

Perfect Week in Taos

  • 5 of 5

Burt's guesthouse is marvelous... clean, charming, private, quiet, and great curb appeal. I liked everything about it and look forward to staying there again. He is an excellent, sensitive host. Especially appreciated were the fresh garden flowers in the crystal vase which greeted me upon arrival and the delicious organic produce from his trees and garden which magically appeared periodically by my door. Thanks for a lovely stay!

A little piece of paradise

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Burts home was magical, particularly for our two little girls. We were welcomed by a very gracious host who had cut fresh flowers from his garden and placed them in front of the door to our home for the week. Every night we would fall asleep to the crickets and be awakened by the sweet melodies of the birds outside our windows the next morning. Before breakfast we would stroll out to the peaceful garden and fruit orchard with the vast green field as the backdrop, a nostalgic reminder of our time in Provence. We would harvest the fresh vegetables and herbs from Burts garden for some of our meals at the home. It was a home so relaxing and beautifully furnished that I enthusiatically look forward to returning to it after a day's outing and even given the surrounding breathtaking beauty of sante fe, there has been days which I more than tempted to stay put to enjoy the comfort of this home. It is beautifully decorated with original pieces of art work, high end furniture and hand woven rugs. We had a wonderful time preparing our meals in the spacious, well stocked and well equipped kitchen. Among one of the many personal gestures from Burt was a case of brownies he had placed in the refrigerator for our little girls.. Amagine their delight when they opened the frig for the first time ! The bathroom was more than spacious and would have house 3 of ours from home! Immaculate home with the most comfortable bed and linen- best nights of sleep I had in awhile. The ultimate compliment to Burts home was when our kids asked "can we trade our home for this one?" Can't ask for a more beautiful home or more gracious host - I wanted to trade our home for Burts ! It has set a high bar for our future vacation rentals
