Laimhrig on the Shore, Luib is a spacious and luxurious holiday home on the shores of Loch Ainort. Surrounded by the Red Cuillins, the views are superb.
The entrance porch is perfect for hanging damp jackets and leaving muddy boots. There are heated clothes horses, excellent for drying damp clothes.
The open living area is spacious and light. The lounge has two leather sofas, perfect for curling up in front of the log fire. There is a 48 inch flat screen TV with Freeview, a sound bar and a DVD player. The generously sized kitchen overlooks the lounge and dining area. At the heart of the kitchen is a gas range, perfect for tasting the local produce. There is also a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. A separate freezer can be found in the entrance porch.
As well as dining area in the main house, there is a second dining table and chairs in the sun lounge offering stunning views over Loch Ainort towards the Red Cuillin and the Isle of Raasay. The comfortable sofa and chairs with footstools make the sun lounge a perfect place to watch the wildlife go by. If you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of otters, herons, sea eagles, seals and on rare occasions, porpoises and dolphins. There is a pair of binoculars to help you on your search!
The master bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobes and a 32 inch TV with Freeview. It is a spacious room and has superb views over the loch. The second double bedroom also has a king size bed and fitted wardrobes. Light and bright, the window overlooks the garden and Loch Ainort. There is a shower room with walk in shower, heated towel rail, WC and wash hand basin. There is a second WC with wash hand basin.
There is parking for two vehicles to the side of the house. The garden runs along the shore of the loch and has a picnic table, perfect for enjoying sunny evenings. The gate at the bottom of the garden gives direct access to the shore for evening strolls along the coastline searching for driftwood and enjoying the scenery. It is also perfect for those looking to kayak in the area. There are several full day walks that start from Luib and the cottage is in a perfect location for those looking to explore the Cuillins, giving good access to both sides of the Black Cuillin mountain range.
Luib is a small village on the shore of Loch Ainort from where there are several walks into the countryside. The closest town to buy groceries and for restaurants is Broadford.
