Enjoy your morning coffee on the dining deck (at a teak table that seats 12) and watch the boats and ferries go by. During the day you can soak up sun next to the infinity pool. A cold drink and a sunset barbecue complete the day. Your tension will disappear over night as the warm sea breeze and the sound of the waves send you off to sleep.

This elegant 2800 square foot Caribbean Style home was completed in 2008. It is located in Deck Point and overlooks Nazareth Bay. The beach and Cowpet Bay are just down the hill from the house next to the St. Thomas Yacht Club. Red Hook, with its dining, shopping, and ferry to St. John, is just around the corner.

This is a great house for a large family with grown children, or three to four couples. All bedrooms come with private bath. The two master bedrooms have their own decks and gorgeous views. Ask about the availability of the one bedroom apartment if you need additional room.

Why Peter Bernardo chose St. Thomas

We built this home in St. Thomas for the year round beautiful weather, warm water and safe environment. The house is on Deck Point Road, a well established area adjacent to the St. Thomas Yacht Club. The island is developed but not overly so. It still has the small caribbean feel that we treasure.

What makes this house unique

The house was chosen for the gorgeous sunsets and the sound of the waves below. Shopping for groceries is close by, and there are many good restaurants on the east end of the island. The ferry to St. John leaves from Red Hook making connections very easy.

Island sanctuary and luxury style

This house is gorgeous and nestled snugly at the end of Deck Point Road with a western exposure ensuring a beautiful sunset every night which you can enjoy relaxing in the beautiful infinity pool. I can't speak highly enough about the owner and staff here--- they made sure we had what we needed and were available at all hours (which wasn't necessary during our stay but hey...good to know). The villa is stocked with basics and the housekeeper had everything we asked for ready for us upon arrival (thanks, Mary!). We spent much of our time on the outside deck or in the pool and it was breathtaking!

Looking over some of the reviews here I feel the need to relay my experiences on some of the topics. We had no problem with the fridge keeping things cold. There were 6 of us (all 18 or older) and went in and out as we normally would with no issues. We kept drinks in ice chests in the kitchen as opposed to the fridge which made it that much easier when we wanted a cold one.

The driveway is steeper than most are accustomed to. So? It's not like it is full of Ohio ice. I had no problem walking up and down even with 5 bags of groceries. This is a non factor unless you are truly physically limited.

Being from Ohio I prefer generally cool temperatures. The air conditioning units are in all of the bedrooms and would get each room quite chilly (if you want them to be that way) while we slept. Perfect for me. There is no air in the main living space and, I have to admit, that made necessary many refreshing dips in the infinity pool. But listen----you're in the Caribbean! It is hot! I guarantee you the view from the balcony will more than make up for the lack of 70 degree temps in the living room! Gentle breezes and starlit nights beckon.

It was a 20 minute walk to Cowpet Bay Beach. Other beaches are easy driving distances. Our big dilemma before we booked was do we want to be on the beach or up higher with beautiful views---take it from me the pictures you take from the balcony of Sans Sou Sea will be forever etched in your mind.

This is an amazing villa. We are truly blessed that the owner has opened up his house to guests and would recommend this spot to anyone asking. The memories will last forever and the beauty will never fade. Do yourself a favor and experience island life at Sans Sou Sea!

Best Property I have stayed at

I traveled here with eight friends for my birthday weekend and everyone was blown away by the property. It is by far the best view my self and everyone has seen and the infinity pool is the icing on the cake. This place is worth every dollar and will leave you speechless. The property manager is very accommodating and they go out of their way to arrange private drivers, groceries delivered, and a list of suggestions to do on the island. Whenever I travel back to St. Thomas I will definitely be booking this property again.

Started out good but ended up with this disappointed

When we arrived the house seemed nice with a good view. The AC was lackluster but we let it go (we have younger children). The housemaid showed up half way through the trip to check up on some septic tank back up the previous tenants had and we did a little bit. The house is not on the beach but the view is spectacular. The water pressure is lackluster and you may get lukewarm water at best. We left the property and two weeks later the homeowner sends me an email saying a door is damaged and he want $XXX dollars. I did not damage his door and it was over two weeks after I left. Plus the damaged photo I received was undated and is simple repair (wood glue and stain). Also for house that in such a windy spot these doors slam on their own (there are simple remedies to this). I pushed back on him then he decided the house wasn't clean (it was). I paid $XXX for the cleaning fee and left a XX dollar tip ($XXX dollar plus the $XX that was kept----$XXX dollars cleaning). We have a maid at our house and that is way to much. The homeowner is trying to keep another $XX on top of that. The property is okay but would encourage to look elsewhere

Owner's Response: I am very sorry that the house did not meet the expectations of these renters. We work very hard to prepare and maintain the home. Owning a home in the islands is challenging, it is not the United States. The cleaning fee covers routine recovery of the house after a rental (general clean up, putting away of dishes, washing the linens and remaking rooms). The security deposit covers damage, irregular wear and tear, and any excess use of water and electricity. This is my house, not some generic hotel. I expect that renters will leave the house in good condition, just as if it was their own place or that of a friend. It is clear that these renters’ sense of cleanliness and respect differs from my own. The house was in disarray at departure. It looked like a family with young children enjoyed the house, and then suddenly left without picking up: Dirty dishes with food on them in the kitchen, cushions scattered about the home with furniture moved to other rooms, dirty diapers in the master, and the damaged veneer on one bedroom door. The renter’s and I disagree on the condition of the house at departure and their level of responsibility. I am sorry that my housekeeper did not take pictures of the mess. She will do so in the future. My staff did photograph the door and I shared the picture with the renter. The doors do slam, that is why there are marble doorstops in every room. All told, I kept less than a third of the deposit. Interestingly, the renters paid the security deposit, and purchased damage insurance. They should be able to recoup the money from the insurance company using the deposit receipt and photos. In the end, this was a most unexpected, and unwelcomed interaction. The stress and grief generated by these renters is out of proportion to the modest amount of money in question. I would not rent my home if this were a routine experience.

amazing views, comfortable and spacious

This was our 2nd stay at the villa with the last visit being 2 years ago. The owners have done a very nice job keeping the place up. It was in good shape on our first visit and even better condition on our 2nd. We love the location on the east end, close to shops, restaurants, attractions, and the large marina at Red Hook. The home is perched high on a rocky bluff on Deck Point, providing spectacular water views and facing southwest for great sunset views as well. The infinity pool is wonderful. However, due to the steep slope, visitors should read and heed the information provided - it's not ideal for small children and anyone who has difficulty with steep conditions. That said, if you can go up and down a few flights of stairs without assistance, you'll be fine. While the home is water-front, it is not walking distance to a sandy beach, but there are several great beaches a short car ride away. We're looking forward to our 3rd visit in the future.

Idyllic, memory-making piece of paradise!

We just got back from spending a week at Peter's beautiful home in St. Thomas. There were eight adults, my husband and myself, our three children and three of their friends, all in their early 20s. At no time did we ever feel crowded or under each other's feet. We loved the feeling of being safely in a gated community, while at the same time having all the bars and restaurants just a three minute ride down the road. We spent all of our time on the east end of the island and never ran out of things to do. Even with a number of cloudy days and one day of rain, we still ate out on that beautiful deck every evening. Coki Beach, Magans Bay, Sapphire Harbor and Lindquist Beach are all within 15 or 20 minutes of the house. Everything you need, from pots and pans to towels, paper goods, basics like salt, pepper, sugar, spices are all stocked ahead of time. Barbara, the property manager and Peter, the owner were available via phone or email to answer any questions that we had, making our transition to vacation mode absolutely seamless.
