Apartment with a terrace on the "Il Moretto" sea, in a small vintage palace from the early 900s, finished restoring at the end of 2014, in the heart of the fishing village of Savelletri of Fasano. From the street you can access the main floor trough a Venetian style staircase, typical of the period. The staircase gives access to the living room, that, by the presence of a double sofa bed, becomes a double bedroom and sleeping area if needed. The living room has also two reading areas and the two sources of daylight are given by two large and antique windows overlooking the harbour below. The walls and pavements of the living room are frescoed with warm and soft flowery colours recovered from the restoration of the house. From the living room you access the dining room, with a round table for 4 - 6 people. In the room you can find a double ramp staircase that leads to the mezzanine and the sleeping area (with two single and half beds); underneath the mezzanine, there is an alcove, and a bathroom with wash basin and shower. The other bathroom with toilet, bidet and wash basin is accessed from the living room. From the opposite side of the living room an arch opens that leads to a small room where there is small kitchenette, (equipped with cookers, fridge and a small pantry). From here you go up to the second floor trough a stone staircase and access the terrace. The terrace is wide, approximately 35 sq.m, and offers a living area, with built-in wall sofa with cushions, a dining area with a reed screen above, rectangular table for 8/10 people, located just opposite from the second kitchen of the house, equipped with cookers, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, and an oven.
Francesca, a pharmacist fond of Puglia. Aside from "Il Moretto" I also have available a second house in the countryside, 18 km away from Savelletri, Trullo Santa Lucia, with swimming pool and tennis court, 400 metre above sea level (look in Homeaway: 1708065). In addition to my two Pugliese jewels, I dedicate myself to bee-keeping, although I still don't know very much about it: I soon hope to give my guests a taste of the chestnut honey produced by myself in Tuscany.
Filippo purchased this house in 2014
'Trullo Santa Lucia' and the house of Savelletri "Il Moretto" are part of the houses that I usually inhabit with my family in the period of August. The beauty of the area but the impossibility of living in the house trough the year, has led me to share the property with new guests, which I hope can experience the same feelings I have had for the past 10 years.
Enchanting places, where you can live with full freedom, and find yourself

The Puglia land is an unpolluted territory where sea, culture, art, tradition and spirituality combine in a unique and poetic environment. In a survey made by Condè Nast Traveler US in late 2012, between the worlds 20 most beautiful tourist destination, Puglia figures like the only one representing Italy, and in 2014 the famous ranking "Best Trips" of National Graphic, shows Puglia as a must-see between the best world destinations. Puglia is a region with a particularly charming setting, still authentic and wild, reachable and viable with extreme ease from Gargano (north) to Santa Maria di Leuca (south), a land with contradictory landscapes, which renders it, unique and multifaceted (clear blue sea and green hills), with a peculiar lifestyle compared to other regions, because it is surrounded by local traditions, from the healthy Mediterranean food, to a rural and manufacturing economy and a benevolent and mild climate all year round. Savelletri, a small fisherman town in winter, is animated by the tourists in summer, with the presence of structures placed on the sea front and on the neighbouring borderline like the Capitolo. Fasano is located 6km away, the water park at 2km, the Zoo safari is at 7 km, and the Castellana caves are 20 km away.
