Exactly what we expected

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was exactly what we expected and wanted, so we didn't mind the steep stairs, and the location was good. It was clean and pleasant, and the owner was very easy to work with.

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful time after negotiating the stairs with the bags we found the apartment

To be all we needed for our stay in Amsterdam It is so convenient to all site because two

trams going different directions are one block away

The apartment had nice breezes going thru the windows on both sides so it was cool but i guess it could get hot with no wind

Great location near bus station, local cafes. Walking distance to city sites. Very helpful hosts.

  • 5 of 5

The close-by bus station made travel from the airport easy. Our hosts carried our luggage up the steep stairs to the top floor (a real blessing). Marielle spent time with us before and during our stay to help orient us to the city.

Within two short blocks we had a grocery store, a bar with a good outdoor seating, and the friendliest coffee/breakfast/lunch café in town, La Chesa. (they made us feel like part of the family). Close by are many bars and restaurants, Pastis being our favorite.

The apartment is on a quiet street very close to major road/bike/walking paths to major attractions that can be reached within 30 minutes walking time, including Jordaan District, Ann Frank house, City Center, Vondelpark, Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum, and of course the many canals. Restaurants, bars and shops line these streets. But watch out for the many bikes when approaching intersections.

Our accommodations were clean and comfortable with all necessary ingredients for a pleasant stay of short or longer duration. Two windows offered good light and breezes for the apartment.

Thank you, Marielle and Alex, for helping provide us an enjoyable 10 days in Amsterdam.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was a cute little place. It was on a quiet street down from the canals and shopping. You could walk anywhere you wanted to go although we bought a bus pass and got there a little quicker. The apartment was everything it was described. It was on the 4th floor, and although the stairs were a little steep to get to, Marielle helped me get my rather heavy bag up (I've been traveling for a month). Marielle was very accommodating when my flight came in later on in the evening. She went over the binder she had created for guests as to where the best places were to go. They were really good as I had gone to a few of the places that she recommended. The bed was really comfortable, and the apartment was very clean. I would love to stay here again if I ever travel back to Amsterdam!

Nice apartment and great location

  • 5 of 5

Location is great, quiet street with a grocery store, tram stop and cafes around the corner. Airport bus stops 5-10min walk away.

The apt was clean and the beds were comfortable. Super fast wifi.

Yes, the stairs are steep and not recommended for people with mobility problems or large suitcases. But it adds to the Amsterdam charm.

Check in and check out were very easy, and Marielle was very helpful and responsive.
