A stunning newly furnished interior designed 2 bedroom luxury apartment located on Baia Da Luz 4 Star complex in Praia Da Luz, Algarve. Excellent elevated location in a quiet spot within close distance of the main pool, tennis courts. The apartment unusually has three large terraces (two with peaceful rural views) to follow the sun through the day or to relax in the shade. The apartment is one of the best locations on the complex. Each terrace is well furnished with sunloungers, dining or breakfast tables and chairs.

Rental price includes wifi, taxes, cleaning, meet and greet reception service and English Television Channels. (Winter Rental rates have different services please ask)

Fully furnished and equipped, the apartment is secured within a gated community including CCTV and is accessible directly from the garage by elevator. The apartment has no stairs being laid out all on one level.

About Celia and David Robertson

My husband David and I are English, however, we have recently moved to Switzerland where my husband works for Roche Pharmaceuticals. We enjoy visiting different countries in Europe both on business and on holidays. As we have moved to Switzerland we are currently learning German. I speak some Spanish and French also. We enjoy travelling, beautiful scenery, and outdoor activities.

We bought this property in 2014 as we were so impressed with the extremely high standards of the buildings, resort and facilities. We also found the location to be excellent -not having to get in the car and just walk to the local shops, restuarants, and beach makes an easy holiday. We also like the local town of Lagos which is a bigger town and a quick trip in the car 8mins, or a short bus ride from Luz. This gives us extended shopping, marina trips, history and architecture all of which we enjoy. I should also mention we took up golf in 2012 and have found excellent golfing facilities within 5 mins from the apartment. We felt that this apartment genuinely offered the best of all worlds being a beach apartment but also providing as with a Winter sun destination with all year round activities and a lively town and village.

Notes:
The apartment is on the first floor and well situated in one of the best positions on a beautifully managed 5 star apartment resort. Airport transfers, day trips, golf fees discounts, car hire can be arranged from the reception services. Reception is open to 10pm in the evening, and then open and manned by security throughout the night. Check in time is 4pm, check out time is 10am.

Excellent Longer Term Stay

The Condominium met the necessary "comforts of home " standards for location, access, space, layout, condition, amenities, and security for a successful five week February 2017 stay for two adults; it made avoiding winter in Canada an even greater pleasure. We had everything needed to be able to live comfortably, including when guests spent three days with us.

The location was peaceful and within a short walk not only to local supermarkets and several very good restaurants (in particular OndaLuz, Alloro's , Chicca's and La Fortaleza) but also to the beach and sea walk.

Booking the property was handled professionally and responsively and on-site support was handled equally well by the property management staff. Expectations created through the initial description of the property were met and exceeded.

This trip was our first to Portugal after similar length stays in N.W. Florida (too cold), and Barbados (too hot). It will not be our last and due in no small part to our experience at Baia da Luz.

Beautiful property with excellent facilities close to the beach

We have stayed in many rental apartments over the last few years but none have matched this apartment for its beautiful interior design and spaciousness. I cannot recommend it highly enough for a family of four with two boys aged 14 and 16.

The lounge has wooden floors and balconies and a comfortable sitting area. The balconies have tables and chairs and catch the sun throughout the day and are great for meals and drying towels in the afternoon sun.

The kitchen is as described and we were able to prepare family meals without having to improvise for pots, pans and kitchen utensils which can sometimes happen in rental apartments (one apartment we once stayed in did not have a sharp knife).

The bedroom are smart, modern and the beds are very comfortable, as the location is quiet, we all slept well throughout the stay.

The bathrooms are clean, spacious and well looked after.

The apartment is in a managed block of apartments, there is a car park underneath the block. Checking in and getting the keys for the garage and apartment could not have been easier and we had good contact with the owners prior to our arrival.

The beach is a short walk away and Luz has a good choice of restaurants for eating out and a tiny market which sells fresh fish and gorgeous pastries if you want to eat in.

The block has a swimming pool and tennis courts which are both well maintained.

Fabulous apartment in amazing location

We fell in love with baia da luz and praiA da luz within minutes. Huge apartment with 3 balconies, great air con. WiFi etc. Bedrooms huge and everything clean. We didn’t self cater that much but looks like everything was there. Will be booking again!!

Excellent 6 Night Stay

Just returned from a very enjoyable 6 night stay. Apartment was very comfortable with a quality feel throughout. Beds very comfortable and efficient air conditioning. Location ideal for pool access. I particularly enjoyed swimming every morning in the heated outdoor pool and having it to myself! Nice 5-10 minute stroll to both supermarket and beach. We visited Burgau, Salema, Lagos Zoo and Zoomarine - all well worth seeing. Also enjoyed eating out in Lagos and taking the boat trip from the marina. We would not hesitate booking this apartment again if we return to Luz.

Clean, spacious, excellent location.

Location of the property was very good, both in terms of where it is on the Algarve, and its position on the complex, which was near the pool area.

All facilities and amenities in the apartment were first class, the efficient a/c most welcome. We found the blackout blinds were particularly useful, both to keep out the early morning light, and to keep the areas generally cool during the day when we were out.

Praia Da Luz is one of the most desirable areas of the Algarve with stunning blue flag beaches and spectacular scenery. Adjacent beaches are listed within the top ten of the world's most beautiful beaches. Once a traditional fisherman's village Luz itself retains the character of it's origins with cobble streets and whitewash houses. Nestled under ancient sandstone cliffs providing walks with breath taking scenery, the village of Luz has a sheltered bay and large sandy beach.

Within walking distance of the apartment a pretty palm tree lined cobbled beach promenade leads to plenty of individual, independent shops, beachside cafes and restaurants and in the Summer market stalls. Local facilities include supermarkets, medical doctors, banks and post office.

A drive of less than 5 mins will bring you to one of the Algarve's best golf courses, 18 hole - 72 par with full facilities. Just 10 mins drive or a short bus or taxi ride is the delightful city of Lagos with its ancient centre, first class marina, restaurants, clubs, and shops. From the marina are many boat trips to the beautiful coves, beaches and grottoes, or to see dolphins and go fishing.

A few minutes away you will find easy access to a good road network allowing you to explore The Algarve and Lisbon. A car is not essential for this property as everything is within walking distance, and local buses provide a good service to Lagos. Car hire and car rental, however, is available locally should you wish to explore this exceptional area of Portugal.

A security deposit is taken on arrival. This is fully refundable and held against any damage to the property, and returned at the end of your stay on return of the apartment, furniture and furnishings in the same good condition. The security deposit is E250 or credit card details (your card will not be charged).
The complex offer swimming pool/beach towels at a nominal fee of 2.50 euros each and these will be offered to you at reception (optional). They will also take a small deposit for a key fob if you wish to use the underground garage.
