Rehabilitation, where the author's exclusive trait is evident, has resorted to contemporary architecture, giving it high comfort and functionality

 The respective decoration shows a clear hegemony between pieces of furniture designed by contemporary architect and designer of the time (such as iron tables with the same wood used on the floor) as well as original furniture by famous architects and designers such as Arne Jacobsen , Steen Ostergaard, Percival Lafer, Charles and Ray Eames, create a comfortable and engaging environment that provides a warm and pleasant stay.

This apartment is located - is a few minutes walk from the Clérigos Tower, the emblematic Lello Bookshop, the São Bento railway station, the Avenida dos Aliados and Trindade Metro Station. The zones of Ribeira, the Cathedral and the famous Caves do Vinho do Porto are a few 10/15 minutes walk

Its location is prime with respect to trade areas, restaurants, coffee shops, services (laundry - Express, pharmacies, hospital) and nightlife (famous district of Paris Galleries).

The typical houses of Porto, its highly comprehensive trade, the warm friendliness of the people, the "night moves", all at a distance of a step !!!

Since 2015 Portugal has more strictly enforced long-standing law requiring anyone to provide accommodation for the entry, exit, and identification details of all non-Portuguese nationals who use that accommodation. This law has been brought into force in Portugal and most other EU countries at some point since the gradual implementation of the 1990 Schengen Agreement that aims to stop human trafficking and other illegal practices. In this case, it is specifically Article 45 of the Schengen Agreement and the recent Local Law in Portugal that has brought this rule into sharper focus.

For this reason, all guests of every reservation need to show their passports, so we can collect the required information.

Welcoming and Well-Decorated

Maria is the caring host of this 1st floor apartment located within walking distance of great restaurants and the attractions along the river. Soft linens, bathroom amenities, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and the gift of port and pasteis on our first night made our stay memorable. For anyone who is a light sleeper, I'd recommend bringing earplugs, but otherwise, Maria's place is a gem.

Great place to stay in Porto.

Had a great stay in Porto. Maria was a great host and got us off to a good introduction to Porto. Do bring your ear plugs as the bedroom is on the street and there is lots of activity on the weekend! Good location for exploring Porto.

A lovely 4 day stay in Porto

The lovely welcoming owner Maria met us early and showed us around her charming apartment, this one is for two people but she also has a three bedroom one available for larger groups and families , worth noting

We were impressed as the apartment looked even better that the advertising photos, everything we needed was provided and was spotless , plenty of kitchen equipment, TV if you require it, (we don't but some do )Lovely bed linen and towels

The apartment was quiet and even street noise closed down early and we slept very well

The position suited us, not in the very old section of town near the river but easy walking distance to all sights and a dearth of restaurants nearby, plus a supermarket, Tourist info centre , the old tram, which is fun and car parking on the street or in a parking garage a three minute walk away

The warm welcome from Maria, and ease of booking with her due to her being able to communicate to me in English was a big plus, many thanks Maria

We enjoy having our own little "home" when travelling and I can highly recommend Maria's apartment in Porto
