From the large terrace you will experience the magnificent views, stretching along the coast-line of Tinos, the Aegean Sea and all the way to Syros Island. From here you will also enjoy the most spectacular sunsets. The spacious bright living-room with the comfortable furnishings, Greek seascape paintings and two patio doors that open to the wonderful Aegean views, will enhance your Cycladic holiday experience.
In addition to the superb views, this is a modern single-level spacious seafront house, tastefully decorated, with fitted wardrobes in all bedrooms, fully equipped separate kitchen, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and absolute comfort for 6 people.
The beautiful Agali beach is only 5 minutes walk (300m) and the adjacent sandy beach of Ag.Fokas extends for another 2 kilometres. Numerous Shops, Cafes and Restaurants as well as boat-trips to the Islands of Andros, Syros, Mykonos, Delos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini, are all within walking distance from the house.
This spacious Greek house overlooking the Aegean sea, near the beach and close to all amenities, would be the perfect place for your unforgettable holiday on Tinos Island. The Cycladic Island that is known as the “hidden jewel of the Aegean”.
The property, Irish Mist, provided myself and my wife with a very comfortable and relaxing holiday in Tinos. It is located within a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Tinos (Chora). It had a spacious veranda with spectacular views over the harbour and Aegean with the Island of Syros in the distance - amazing sunsets viewed from the veranda every evening.
Roxanne met us at the Ferry Port on our arrival and drove us to the property and explained all the facilities, the "Welcome Pack" was very much appreciated especially the chilled white wine. She pointed out the location of nearby tavernas, shops, supermarkets etc. There were three tavernas/restaurants literally just across the road from the property.
We hired a car from Vidalis who were very helpful and reasonably priced. This enabled us to explore many of the remote parts of Tinos and we found some wonderful secluded sandy beaches and many very quaint villages to explore on foot.
The weather was excellent with blue sky every day and temperatures of 27-30C - the air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome.
Tinos in mid September provided us with a very quiet and relaxing holiday with very friendly and helpful local population. Perfect for sight-seeing and just lounging about on the many beaches.
The house was very clean, with good and modern furniture, nice terrace with a view on the harbour and sea. Close to restaurants and shops, car and bike rental, but in a quiet street. It was very nice to be here one week in April with our family (2 kids). Tinos is a nice, quiet island with beautiful nature and villages in the mountains to see.
Excellent location - tavernas, coffee shops and supermarket close by; 10 minutes from town. Property has all that you need for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended. Customer service second to none.
We (4 adults and 2 teens with 12 and 17 years) booked 2nd time the same appartment in Tinos-City, now during spring time (mid to end of April) and wanted to see how this season changes our experience compared to the last wonderful stay during summer time. During spring time we recognized that there is much less wind, but temperatures mid of April started bit low, however increased that strongly that we even could go into the sea towards end of April. Around 60% of the Taverns already opened or were about to open during our holidays, we again enjoyed the excellent meals and had to make sure that we watch our weight. Half of our spare time we just spent on the large Veranda of our rented flat which provides such a prominent sea view (around 70% of your horizon is purely seaview and the neighbour island Syros) I personally was not successful to get anywhere else for such a package. The flat is ideally located since you need to walk around 500m to get to the central port and all the taverns as well as a supermarket (Carrefour) and all the small local groceries to buy what you need for breakfast or during the day. There's even a local chines store where you can find childrens clothes and things to play (we bought two soccer balls for 7 Euro !). If you're looking for a place a bit away from the standard tourists places with beautiful landscape, lots of sea and excellent food I could not name a better place than Tinos and especially that apparment, currently we're just thinking about checking out the next season, autumn, to be spent in the same place to further explore that island.
This large 2 bedroom is very clean and well maintained. We were met at the port and shown the best stores and restaurants on the short drive to the apartment and then provided a drive back to port at the end of our stay. Everything we needed for our 6 day stay was available and in good working order. The stores and restaurants are a very short walk. I would suggest renting a car and seeing some of the other towns and beaches of Tinos. The island has a lot to offer.
We had a fabulous time, 2 families with young children, we found the home very spacious, comfortable and safe which can be tricky to find on the greek islands. Great location as we were able to walk everywhere, the tavern and cafe below are excellent. Only negative was we got really hot during the day as air cons are only in the bedrooms - however we did stay during August the hottest time of the year. I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem at other times of the year. It was very sad leaving this place...
The house is situated in the quiet outskirts of Tinos Town, with the beach and all amenities within very short walking distance. Beautiful sunsets and magnificent views of the coast-line and the Aegean sea all the way to Syros Island, can be enjoyed under the pergola of its large South-facing Terrace.
Fresh fish and traditional Greek dishes are served in the near-by restaurants. Fresh bread and pastries are available from the local bakeries every morning. Tinos town is full of life with many restaurants, shopping streets, paved medieval alleys, traditional coffee shops, bars, and plenty of nightlife for all ages. All within walking distance from home.
Apart from the impressive Cathedral and Cultural Centre in Tinos town, the marble-art museum in Pyrgos, the old Ursuline convent in Loutra; the sculpture exhibition and home of the famous sculptor Halepas, as well as the many folklore museums in the villages are well worth a visit. Popular summer festivals at the main square of the villages offer traditional music, wine and dance, where everybody is welcome.
Here in Tinos the culture meets tranquillity and fun under the blue sky, the sun and the fresh Aegean breeze. The refreshing blue waters of the countless beaches and coves that ornate this beautiful Island, are all awaiting to be explored and there are breath-taking views while getting there. You will find little taverns and seaside restaurants offering fresh fish and traditional Greek dishes everywhere you go and the prices are great too!
The home of many famous Greek poets, painters and sculptors, Tinos is often called the 'hidden jewel' of the Aegean and for a good reason. Unspoiled by the mass tourism, the Island has retained its original Greek Cycladic authenticity that is open to be explored by the visitor.
Coach trips around the Island as well as boat trips to the Islands of Andros, Syros, Mykonos, Delos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini, are available on a daily basis throughout the summer.
