Having lived in the lodge before with the children,We have had such wonderful times in the house. It's great place for family gatherings at Christmas/ birthdays/ bbqs. Etc a splendid location within easy commute of many beautiful attractions.
The garden is southwest facing meaning on those glorious sunny days you will have the sun all day. There are 2 log burners in the property for those lovely warm winter nights and an aga which will fit a large goose in for Christmas lunch! ( hugely important) we will try an accommodate most requests I.e cots, toys, bbqs, Christmas trees and decorations, babysitting is on hand with the housekeeper should you request it..
We had a lovely stay at this traditional English house.its much larger then it suggests. It's welcoming and full of character.
The house is beautiful with lots of georgian features and log burners. It was a good Size for 9 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs. We were greeted by David who showed us around the property. The only problem was that the facilities were impractical. There is one shower and one bath. The shower is very poor and there wasn't enough hot water for everyone. Also the aga made cooking for such a large group difficult despite having an experienced aga user in the group. It seems for such a large house it needs better bathroom and kitchen facilities. But despite this we had a really fun time and the reception rooms were beautiful and provided plenty of space for us all.
We had a lovely stay at this very traditional English house, its much larger than the photos suggest. It's welcoming and full of character. Enjoy!
The lodge is part of a beautiful terrace giving you a relaxing retreat without being too isolated. It is 10 miles from the famous regency city of Bath. It is a great location for many equestrian events such as badminton horse trials and country fairs not forgetting the many Beautiful villages of Wiltshire/Somerset I.e The historic city of Bristol, The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Wells as well as the market town of Bradford on Avon and Glastonbury. There are local restaurants, cinemas and a 5 min walk to the nearest, spa/swimming pool. The nearest bar is a short walk.
