This one bedroomed apartment, located in Malahide Marina Village, is furnished throughout to the highest standard.

Its facilities include all you would expect from a five star apartment including fully fitted kitchen, king size double bed, and a high pressure shower. The apartment benefits from Sonas surround sound system, free WiFi and a television in every room.

LOCATION

This modern apartment is located in Malahide Marina Village, nestled just two minutes walk from the centre of the vibrant, yet picturesque Malahide village.

Malahide village has lots of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops, along with many high quality boutiques and specialist shops, for those who fancy a wander around and perhaps some shopping.

Situated along the east coast, Malahide boasts a beautiful beach, and both locals and visitors are frequently spotted diving into the sea from the cliffs at High Rock.

The 3km coastal walk from Malahide to Portmarnock, where you will find a magnificent sandy beach, provides stunning views across the bay to the fishing port of Howth.

Other walks include the 5km perimeter of Malahide Castle Demesne, a beautiful tree lined park, which dates back to the twelfth century.

The many facilities on offer in the Castle Demesne include tours of Malahide Castle and its gardens, bike hire from Irish Centre for Cycling, and the famous Avoca Café which boasts beautiful cuisine both to eat in and take-away and a treasure trove shop stocking everything from kitchen utensils, to candles to clothes.

There are golf and tennis facilities provided for a nominal fee at Malahide Castle Golf and Tennis, also located within the grounds of the demesne.

TRANSPORT

Malahide is well served by public transport. Trains run frequently to Dublin city centre, a journey of approximately 30 minutes. There is also a regular 42 bus into the city centre which takes about 40 minutes. At weekends there is a late-night bus service from the city centre servicing Malahide. Taxis are readily available and the 10km journey costs about €25/30.

It is also possible to travel by train to other small villages north of Malahide, such as the award winning tidy town Skerries, which boasts a lovely harbour -walk in addition to plenty of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.

For older and younger visitors to Malahide, there is a local train Toots, which provides a link between the village centre, Malahide Castle and the beach…and it’s lots of fun to travel on too.

This five star apartment provides a relaxing luxurious location from which to explore all that Malahide and Dublin city have to offer.

What makes this apartment unique

This Apartment was totally refurbished in January 2015 and changed from a two bed to a stunning one bedroom unit so we could offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy a five star living experience whilst visiting the magnificent village of Malahide.Our ground floor location means you can step outside the door and watch the yachts in the Marina come and go. Our location is so convenient that there is no need to hire a car as all areas can be accessed by public transport with a regular bus service and train station within a few minutes walk from the Apartment.

Lovely modern holiday apartment

We loved our stay in this beautiful modern apartment. Very well equipped kitchen, wonderful lounge area with Smart TV, Netflix, all the comforts of home. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and recommend it highly to visitors coming to the Malahide area.

Marvelous Malahide

Kathy, I first want to say that it was a pleasure to have met you at the apt and for taking the time to give us the tour and explain details. Second I want to take the time to mention your great design skills. You incorporated the elements and principals of design to successfully execute a beautiful space that I believe everyone will greatly appreciate and also feel very comfortable to call home while on holiday. Not only is it exact to the photos but the cleanliness is also very apparent which is very important to me.

Joe, I also want to thank you for meeting us at our final day in Ireland with much sadness and driving us to airport. Thank you greatly for always answering my questions on a timely manner. We appreciated the drive and it was a pleasure to talk on the way. You made us feel very comfortable.

As for Malahide, It was the BEST decision vs staying in Dublin. Why? Dublin was only about 20 minutes away via train and we had the honor of staying in a small quint beautiful village and met amazing people. We toured Ireland the best we could in 10 days and visited famous sites and then some. Even Howth, a small fishing town was amazing to see and enjoyed an amazing early dinner at O'Connells. What a view of the bay while eating and staff were wonderful. We also stumbled upon an great old tavern, The Abbey Tavern in which my husband enjoy a pint of beer and I enjoyed a glass of wine at this cute Tapas restaurant called Octopussy's Seafood Tapas and what a blast we had. All in that small fishing town! This was one of the unexpected amazing places we visited while on holiday in Ireland. A gem!

Delightfully comfortable

We had the pleasure of staying in Malahide--in this apartment overlooking the marina.This was indeed the highlight of our 5 week trip from Aust.

This apartment was presented impeccably,and all comforts included.

Perfect vacation flat near Dublin

The vacation flat is perfectly equipped with high-quality appliances. The spacious and beautiful rooms are very cosy and they all, especially the bathroom , leave nothing to be desired.

Within a five minutes walk you can reach Malahide shops and restaurants. There are also frequent connections to Dublin by either train or bus.

Joe and Cathy really cared for everything and Joe showed and explained all the devices after we arrived. If you have any special wish just tell them and they will support you.

TEN STAR AMAZING!!!!

To say we enjoyed our stay wouldn't even begin to illustrate how much we loved our stay at Joe and Cathy's amazing home in Malahide! The apartment is a marvel at its modern, gorgeous, relaxing home, close to everything! It was our first stay in Ireland and from the start Joe and Cathy were beyond welcoming!! Firstly, they answered our request to book within an hour, we chatted via email on this site and we instantly felt comfortable about our first trip abroad! Joe met us for an early check-in...6AM early!! The Ritz Carlton and Marriotts of the world require a 3pm or later check in. But Joe knew our flight was an overnight trip and he offered to meet us early so we could have access to the home and get settled before our bid honeymoon adventure! So thoughtful! Joe and Cathy had even prepared a welcome basket with wine and snacks waiting. Joe gave us a full tour and explained all the modern appliances and security system. (Joe even took the time to outline it all in a detailed laminated book as well.) The home is nestled in the best location. Malahide has everything from a starbucks, organic grocer/fish market/bakery, bank/exchange, antiques, pubs, restaurants, art, salons, marina, beach and Malahide castle and beautiful grounds all within a couple minutes walk. I assure you it will take all your strength to want to leave this perfect village, but if you do... there is bus, taxi, uber and train within 5 min walk from your front door ready to take you into Dublin, Howth or any other villiage. I can truly tell you that you will never want to leave this perfect apartment in this perfect little town! I think Joe knew the only way to get us to leave was to drive us to the airport himself!! So he did! taking time out of his already busy schedule of family travel to bring my husband and I right to our terminal! He and Cathy treated us like family and we cannot wait to return!!! A Million thanks to Joe and Cathy, we will see you soon!! xo

An amazing Malahide nook with very gracious hosts

From start to finish, this was a wonderful experience. Joe and Cathy were very attentive, from answering our various inquiries during the booking process to making sure the apartment was meeting both our and their expectations while we were in Malahide. They were very accomodating in arranging for us to get into the suite during the early morning hours following our overnight flight from the States, so we were quickly able to settle in and rest. The apartment was modern and clean yet had a very cozy and welcoming feel. It had all the amenities we needed to hunker down and make it our home base during our trip. We loved being able to walk just a few minutes to the pubs, shops, market, and beach, and to have easy access to public transport when we wanted to explore farther. Malahide had a very friendly feel, and we were delighted at how easy it was to find good local craic. Our stay at this apartment was exactly what we were hoping for, and it makes us want to go back. Thank you, Joe and Cathy for a lovely experience!

As the road from Dublin City passes Malahide Castle Demesne, the rural and meandering tree-lined route leaves the city far behind. After passing the Red Brick School and thatched Marino Cottage, up over the old hump-backed railway bridge, Malahide opens out in front of you, the tall spire of St. Sylvester's Church dominating the low-lying buildings of the traditional village below.

In Malahide there is something for everyone, shoppers, sports fanatics, day trippers and holiday makers, the picturesque village boasts a wide array of retail destinations and services including fashion boutiques, hair and beauty salons, florists, restaurants, cafes and two small shopping centres.

Traditional shopfronts and several cobble-lock side streets give the village an intimate and welcoming feel. There are a broad range of pubs and restaurants to take you well into the night and a wide range of leisure and sports activities to get you up in the morning.

Malahide’s substantial marina is accessible from an attractive promenade, beginning at Village Green. Walking in the opposite direction will take you to Malahide’s long, sandy beach. Surrounding the town are the protected grounds of Malahide Castle, with botanic gardens, sports pitches and a children’s playground, land which was once the private estate of Baron Talbot.
