LUXURY LIVING IN SEA- SIDE VILLAGE OF MALAHIDE
This one bedroomed apartment, located in Malahide Marina Village, has recently been refurbished throughout to the highest standard.
Its facilities include all you would expect from a five star apartment including fully fitted kitchen, king size double bed, and a high pressure shower. The apartment benefits from Sonas surround sound system, free WiFi and a television in every room.
Its ground floor location makes it fully wheelchair accessible. It is non-smoking and unsuitable for pets.
This modern apartment is located in Malahide Marina Village, nestled just two minutes walk from the centre of the vibrant, yet picturesque Malahide village.
Malahide village has lots of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops, along with many high quality boutiques and specialist shops, for those who fancy a wander around and perhaps some shopping.
Situated along the east coast, Malahide boasts a beautiful beach, and both locals and visitors are frequently spotted diving into the sea from the cliffs at High Rock.
The 3km coastal walk from Malahide to Portmarnock, where you will find a magnificent sandy beach, provides stunning views across the bay to the fishing port of Howth.
Other walks include the 5km perimeter of Malahide Castle Demesne, a beautiful tree lined park, which dates back to the twelfth century.
The many facilities on offer in the Castle Demesne include tours of Malahide Castle and its gardens, bike hire from Irish Centre for Cycling, and the famous Avoca Café which boasts beautiful cuisine both to eat in and take-away and a treasure trove shop stocking everything from kitchen utensils, to candles to clothes.
There are golf and tennis facilities provided for a nominal fee at Malahide Castle Golf and Tennis, also located within the grounds of the demesne.
Malahide is well served by public transport. Trains run frequently to Dublin city centre, a journey of approximately 30 minutes. There is also a regular 42 bus into the city centre which takes about 40 minutes. At weekends there is a late-night bus service from the city centre servicing Malahide. Taxis are readily available and the 10km journey costs about €25/30.
It is also possible to travel by train to other small villages north of Malahide, such as the award winning tidy town Skerries, which boasts a lovely harbour -walk in addition to plenty of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.
For older and younger visitors to Malahide, there is a local train Toots, which provides a link between the village centre, Malahide Castle and the beach…and it’s lots of fun to travel on too.
This five star apartment provides a relaxing luxurious location from which to explore all that Malahide and Dublin city have to offer.
Please feel free to contact the owners Joe and Cathy with any queries you may have.
We have lived in Malahide Village for over 26 years and are only a two minute drive from the Apartment
Joe and Cathy purchased this apartment in 2003
We purchased this property as a potential retirement home.
This Apartment was totally refurbished in January 2015 and changed from a two bed to a stunning one bedroom unit so we could offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy a five star living experience whilst visiting the magnificent village of Malahide. Our ground floor location means you can step outside the door and watch the yachts in the Marina come and go. Our location is so convenient that there is no need to hire a car as all areas can be accessed by public transport with a regular bus service and train station within a few minutes walk from the Apartment.
A perfectly up-to-date, fully renovated one bedroom condo in a great location. A very short walk into Malahide village and also to the DART to go into Dublin, very quick and easy. Great local restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Fully equipped kitchen and wonderfully modernized bathroom with good shower and bathtub, dual sinks, even a TV in the bathroom to watch while you soak in the tub. Cathy did a marvelous job in designing and decorating the apartment.
Joe and Cathy are terrific hosts and they are always easily reached by telephone. In summary it is one of the best places we have ever rented.
We were met most cordially by our host who explained how everything worked. The apartment has all the mod cons, and more!, you could wish for during a holiday. The apartment is very luxurious and lies close to the centre of Malahide, so it's easy to get to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Malahide is a nice and quiet village close to Dublin. We enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly recommend it to anyone who is in for a home from home in Ireland. At the end of our week, Joe kindly dropped us off at the station, since we travelled by public transport throughout our holidays.
Joe and Cathy really helpful & friendly the apartment is too a very high standard ideal location for cafes bars &restaurants overall a great place to stay we look forward to returning Stan &S. 24/7/2016
Every detail of this flat was exquisite. My husband and I are not city people, so a Malahide location was perfect for us. It is even better than it looks in the pictures. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is luxurious, the bed is very comfortable, and the location is superb--right on the water. All of the shops in Malahide are a short walk from the flat. We spent 7 days. Our flight arrived well after midnight, but Joe met us at the flat in person to go over all the features of the place. He recommended some great places to eat and to shop in town. We were greeted with a beautiful gift basket with delicious treats and the fridge was stocked with some basic staples so we had coffee and tea in the morning. The DART train is a 5 min walk and a 20-30 min train ride to Dublin and all the sights. This allowed us to enjoy the busy sights of the city, but return to the quiet coastal town. We spent a couple days touring Malahide and enjoyed it very much. Joe recommended that we explore Malahide Castle and Gardens, and it was a perfect start to our holiday, and both are just a short walk away. The sandy beaches are also just a short walk. Our perfect trip concluded with Joe driving us to the airport--a very nice touch, since we had to be at the airport at 6:30am. My husband and I felt very spoiled and would highly recommend this property to anyone.
My husband & I recently stayed at this beautiful apartment in Malahide & would highly recommend it. The apartment is 1 bedroom, however it is really spacious , beautifully decorated, very contempary,& inviting. It was spotlessly clean with al the amenities you could ask for.Joe & Cathy were delightfull , really helpful & friendly. The location is ideal as Malahide is a village with loads of cafes & restaurants & shops. There's a shopping centre a 5 minute or so drive away too. Thre is also a car park for these apartments which is free of charge. It's so close to the airport but no noise of planes over head, & perfect for getting on to the M50. I definitely would stay here again.
We were thrilled with this top-notch accommodation in Marina Village! It has been remodeled and transformed into a model home. The super-modern kitchen and the power-shower are a rare treat for visitors. We much appreciated the gorgeous welcome basket from Joe and Cathy! We couldn't have found more central location for enjoying the great village of Malahide, with easy access to Dublin and the north county countryside.
This apartment is an Emerald Isle gem! We look forward to returning soon.
As the road from Dublin City passes Malahide Castle Demesne, the rural and meandering tree-lined route leaves the city far behind. After passing the Red Brick School and thatched Marino Cottage, up over the old hump-backed railway bridge, Malahide opens out in front of you, the tall spire of St. Sylvester's Church dominating the low-lying buildings of the traditional village below.
In Malahide there is something for everyone, shoppers, sports fanatics, day trippers and holiday makers, the picturesque village boasts a wide array of retail destinations and services including fashion boutiques, hair and beauty salons, florists, restaurants, cafes and two small shopping centres.
Traditional shopfronts and several cobble-lock side streets give the village an intimate and welcoming feel. There are a broad range of pubs and restaurants to take you well into the night and a wide range of leisure and sports activities to get you up in the morning.
Malahide’s substantial marina is accessible from an attractive promenade, beginning at Village Green. Walking in the opposite direction will take you to Malahide’s long, sandy beach. Surrounding the town are the protected grounds of Malahide Castle, with botanic gardens, sports pitches and a children’s playground, land which was once the private estate of Baron Talbot.
