About Lisa and Randy Stromsoe
We moved from Los Angeles to the charming village of Cambria in 1979. We raised our daughter and son in Cambria until we found this slice of paradise on 25 acres just 13 minutes inland from the coast. We've enjoyed a large organic garden every year and we are currently looking forward to our 5th harvest of Pinor Noir and Pinot Grigio wine grapes from our 5 acre vineyard. We are artists by trade and find this location to be peaceful and inspiring.
Lisa and Randy Stromsoe purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Lisa and Randy Stromsoe chose Templeton
Two years ago we decided to remodel an existing cottage perched on the hill above our vineyard. The views are spectacular. We began offering the vineyard cottage as a nightly vacation rental in April of 2008. We've had many return guests ... everyone loves it! When we don't have rental guests, my husband and I like to lay on the grass and look up at the millions of stars.
What makes this Cottage unique
After a day of wine tasting and the warm ... sometimes TOO warm weather of Paso Robles, guests love to return to the cottage which is only minutes from the tasting rooms yet up to 15 degrees cooler. We enjoy the coastal influence on many hot summer days. We love to pack a sweatshirt and head to San Simeon Cove or Cayucos for a beach walk at low tide ... no crowds. The counties BEST restaurants are 15 minutes in any direction from the cottage! Paso Robles, Templeton, Cambria and Cayucos.

Wonderful Spot Between Cambria and Paso Robles
All props to Lisa and Randy for offering this beautiful, quiet house overlooking a stunning, peaceful vista. The communication with Lisa was great. Although this spot is close to Highway 46, it was very quiet and serene. The house is beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. We would happily stay there again. Thanks!
Will remember this trip.
Overall great location, middle of the grape wines and very quiet. Missed having 2nd bathroom and the beds were comfortable but very high. We are a short family.
Loved curling up in the cozy chairs on the front porch and watching the fog roll over the hills in the morning and birds of prey swoop over the property. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place for you. Terrific proximity to wineries too. The house is so tastefully decorated - the pictures don't do it justice. Comfy beds too!! We are already planning a return trip.
Amazing estate with beautiful nature abound
The perfect spot for a wine country get-away.
This was the third year in a row that we stayed in this beautiful home, atop a hill overlooking the vineyards and the country-side beyond. We love this place, visit it annually during the Paso Robles Wine Festival weekend, and each year as the long weekend closes, we are sad to leave, but leave refreshed, relaxed, and ready for the next visit. It rained most of the time we spent here this year, but whether inside or out, there's not a bad seat in the house. The perfect place in wine country!
Thanks you two. Always such a pleasure to have you visit. You are easy guests. We look forward to next spring or perhaps the fall of this year.
L & R
Fantastic get away!
Secluded setting which is absolutely perfect for escaping the rest of the world for a few days. A very comfortable place, nicely appointed throughout. The hosts actually care that your visit is special and are ready to help if something is not "just right" during your stay. The coastal fog snuck in during our time there so we couldn't fully take advantage of the great view, but when things cleared it was worth the wait. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for sharing your property with the rest of us!
