We stayed in Joy's beautiful apartment for a fortnight in July. This was the first time we have been to Alvor and absolutely loved the place, and had a fantastic holiday. The major contributory to our enjoyment was this apartment. Firstly, from our first e.mail requesting details to our departure date, Joy kept us informed promptly all the time with easy instructions. She really was a lovely pleasant lady to deal with.
On our arrival, we were impressed with the cleanliness and overall appearance of the apartment. To make it easier I will list all the positives. (please note no negatives at all)
1. Cleanliness - the apartment was immaculate
2. Space - All the rooms were massive
3. Balcony - The large balcony accommodated table, chairs and sun loungers and got the sun most of the day.
4. Kitchen- The kitchen was well equipped, with every possible gadget. The appliances were easy to work and the dishwasher was a real bonus.
5. Bedroom - Large spacious bedroom with plenty of storage space and a lovely comfortable bed/s
6. Living Room - Lovely bright room with comfortable furniture
7. Bathroom - Spacious with an opening window (not always possible in an apartment) Great Shower.
8. Outside space and pool area - Clean, quiet and well maintained area with plenty of sun loungers
9. Location - Fantastic location with only a short walk to "the strip" with lovely restaurants and bars.
10. Finally - I definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return some time.
A very comfortable apartment, tastefully furnished and with everything we needed for our stay. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained.
It is only 5 minuted walk into Alvor town where there are many excellent restaurants and another few minutes takes you to the seafront and the superb beach.
The owner was very helpful with various recommendations and soon sorted out a very minor hiccup with the TV reception. Local help which we did not need, was only a phone call away.
My husband and I have booked again for 2016 and cannot wait till the date arrives. We would certainly recommend this apartment without hesitation.
Just returned from an absolutely wonderful holiday in Alvor, helped in no small part by the standard of the accommodation.
From the moment we arrived we knew that this was not just another holiday apartment, but a home from home. The standard of everything in the apartment is first class, and everything we could possibly need was provided, including the wonderful touch of having a cool bag / ice packs to allow us to make up packed lunches, and take cold drinks with us on our daily road-trips along the Algarve.
Communication with the owner, and property manager was almost instant throughout the booking and stay, and the added bonus of being able to keep in touch with home, by means of the excellent free Wi-Fi was another great addition to the rental.
The well furnished Balcony is bathed in sun from early morning until shortly before 4pm, and the pool area is both immaculately clean, and a joy to spend time in.
All-in-all I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone looking to holiday in the wonderful area of Alvor.
A really beautiful apartment, bright , modern and spacious, everything you could ask for. Close proximity to Alvor town and beach with the added bonus of supermarket beneath. Lovely and quiet pool area, just perfect in every way.
Large modern apartment, tastefully furnished and ideally situated on the fringe of the centre of Alvor village. 10 minute walk to centre of village and 20 minute walk to beach. The modern apartment, with large supermarket close by, is a contrast to the quaint village. Restaurants were superb, in terms of quality and value.
Loved this apartment clean, fresh, comfortable everything you need for a great stay.Beds really comfortable had great sleeps excellent balcony with dining table which we used a lot every utensil you could possibly need was there. Location excellent only a couple of minutes walk to the main street where all the restaurants bars and shops are.Supermarket just under the apartment where you can get everything you need.Would stay here in a heartbeat again. The property is in one of the best locations in Alvor, quiet with countryside views, yet less than a 5 minute walk from the main restaurant/ bar area, 1 minute from the nearest supermarket, 6 minutes from the harbour and about 12 minutes from one of the best beaches in The Algarve. There is a beautiful pool on site and it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the heated indoor municipal pool, open all year round. A truly unique and convenient location. There are several golf courses within a few minutes drive including Alto Golf, Penina Millenium, Gramacho and Palamares. The area offers a wealth of other facilities including a Marine Zoo & Aquapark, Zoo, Karting at Portimao Racetrack and, of course, beautiful scenery including Monchique mountain and other magnificent beaches. Boat trips for fishing or exploration from Portimaob or the historic town of Lagos, which is about a 15 minute drive away. For any 'twitchers' there is a bird sanctuary at Vale da Lama.
A fantastic location for a couple to take it easy or families to enjoy the beaches and all the facilities the area has to offer.
PLEASE READ - In addition to the weekly charge there will be a £200.00, refundable damage & excess cleaning deposit ( should the property be left in an unsatisfactory condition). This will be refunded after completion of let and on the receipt of a satisfactory report from our local agent. The charge will include the use of WIFI and electricity used, if the use of electricity is found to be very excessive we reserve the right to make an additional charge against the security deposit. Payment in Euros will be acceptable at an agreed rate. All bookings will be secured by a 25% deposit with payment of balance ( plus damage deposit) required no less than 8 weeks prior to the date of the commencement of the let. The payment will not be refundable for a cancellation within the 8 week period prior to the booking, we therefore strongly recommend clients to take out insurance for cancellation (& health).
The property must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Entry will not be available before 4 pm on arrival but there may be some flexibility if there is no booking before or after the let. Contact us if there is a time scale problem. Our changeovers are on Saturdays, but may be flexible in the quieter periods. The property must not be occupied or used by more persons than are stated on the booking form ( and the license: 4 max). If more than the stipulated persons are found to be in the property at any time, the let will immediately be terminated with no refund or claim of any type accepted.
Whilst every care is taken to ensure that the information given is correct, there may be instances when facilities or features described may have to be altered or withdrawn. We hold no responsibility should this be the case.
